Millwall vs. Swansea City: EFL Betting Tip

On Saturday lunchtime, Gary Rowett’s Millwall welcome Steve Cooper’s Swansea to The Den. The Swans, who are in fourth spot at present, will be desperate to avoid a fifth straight Championship loss.

Millwall have kept their slim play-off hopes alive with three wins on the bounce. The Lions have seen off Middlesbrough, Rotherham United and Stoke City since a 3-2 loss to Queens Park Rangers last month. They are eight points behind the final play-off spot with six games to play.

Our betting prediction:
Millwall win & both teams to score
11/2

Swansea’s automatic promotion bid has been dealt a huge blow as the Welsh side have suffered four consecutive Championship losses. After a 3-0 defeat at Bournemouth on 16th March, City have lost 1-0 to Cardiff City, Birmingham City and Preston North End in their last three.

Having slipped ten points behind Watford in the race for second, Swansea will now turn their attention to securing a play-off spot, especially as Bournemouth are now only four points behind. Unfortunately for Cooper and his men, we fancy the Millwall win here (9/5).

Barnsley vs. Middlesbrough: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Valerien Ismael’s in-form Barnsley will be looking to move another step closer to claiming a play-off place with three points against Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough this Saturday. As you would expect, the Tykes are the bookies’ favourites.

Barnsley have had a remarkable season, as Ismael has turned the Yorkshire side from relegation fodder to genuine promotion candidates. The Tykes, who won 2-1 at Luton Town last time out, have suffered just one Championship loss since January.

Middlesbrough have been in disappointing form of late, picking up only a point from a possible nine since back-to-back wins over Stoke and Preston. However, after away defeats at Millwall and Bournemouth, they did hold high-flying Watford to a 1-1 draw at the Riverside Stadium last time out.

Both teams will be gunning for all three points from this intriguing fixture, but we fancy the pair to play out a draw. The draw and both teams to score is nicely priced at 15/4.

Barnsley 11/10

Middlesbrough 13/5

Cardiff City vs. Blackburn Rovers: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

After Monday’s embarrassing loss at Hillsborough, Cardiff will be desperate to hit back with three points at the first time of asking. This Saturday, Mick McCarthy’s Bluebirds host Tony Mowbray’s out-of-form Blackburn.

Since beating rivals Swansea in the South Wales derby before the March international break, Cardiff have fallen to back-to-back defeats. After a 1-0 home loss to Nottingham Forest on Good Friday, City were walloped 5-0 at Hillsborough on Monday by Sheffield Wednesday, who were bottom of the table at kick off.

Blackburn have been in terrible form over the past few months. A 2-0 victory at Millwall a month back remains Rovers’ only league win since January. Mowbray’s men head to the Welsh capital having lost three and drawn three of their last six.

Blackburn left Cardiff with a 3-2 win at this stage of last season, but we are backing the Bluebirds to bounce back from their recent disappointment and get revenge. You can get 6/1 for the home win and over 3.5 goals.

Cardiff City 23/20
Draw 12/5
Blackburn Rovers 12/5

Derby County vs. Norwich City: Best EFL Betting Tips on Matchday 41

Norwich are just five points away from sealing promotion back to the Premier League after just one season away. This Saturday, Daniel Farke takes the leaders to Pride Park to face Wayne Rooney’s lowly Derby.

The Rams find themselves in 18th place at present. Although they are eight points clear of the drop, Rotherham United, who are 22nd, have four games in hand on County. Derby have struggled for wins lately, picking up just one victory in their past nine.

After 1-1 draws with Blackburn and Preston, Norwich got back to winning ways in emphatic style last time out. At Carrow Road on Tuesday, Teemu Pukki helped himself to a hat-trick as City thumped Huddersfield Town 7-0. Norwich are now on the cusp of promotion to the Premier League.

Derby could do with a positive result to ease some of the pressure, but Norwich should leave Pride Park with a comfortable margin of victory. We like the look of the visitors to win -1 at 2/1.

Derby County 4/1
