EFL Championship Matchday 41: Best Betting Football Tips

Sheffield United vs. Bournemouth: EFL Betting Tip

On Saturday lunchtime, Sheffield United and Bournemouth meet at Bramall Lane in a mouth-watering match. The Blades are in sixth spot at the time of writing, while the Cherries sit second behind runaway leaders Fulham.

Sheffield United have been one of the form teams of the Championship in recent months. After Paul Heckingbottom’s arrival, the Blades have only been heading in one direction, and they look a good bet to make the play-offs with just handful of games to go.

Our betting prediction:
Billy Sharp to score first
11/2

Scott Parker has done a fine job at Bournemouth this season. The former Fulham boss was brought in to get the Cherries promoted, and the club are just a few wins away from realising that dream. Bournemouth are in second position right now, six points above third with two games in hand.

Both promotion chasers will be desperate for maximum points on Saturday, but we can see the evenly matched sides playing out a tense draw at Bramall Lane. Put some money on the draw and under 2.5 goals at 3/1.

Sheffield United 11/8

Bournemouth 43/20

Middlesbrough vs. Hull City: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Middlesbrough and Hull clash at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Chris Wilder’s boys will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing to the leaders in midweek. To no surprise, Boro are the big favourites with the bookies in this home fixture.

Middlesbrough hover just outside of the top six, two points behind sixth-place Sheffield United. Boro have been in patchy form in the Championship of late, losing four, winning four and drawing one of the past nine. Can they get back on track with a home victory on Saturday?

After winning the EFL League One title last term, staying in the second tier was Hull’s main aim this season. They look nailed on to be a Championship club for the 2022-23 campaign, as the Tigers are a whopping 12 points clear of 22nd with just six games to play.

After the narrow midweek reverse, Wilder will want to see a response from his players on Saturday. They should be too strong for lowly Hull here, and we like the look of 8/5 for the hosts to win -1.

Middlesbrough 11/20
Draw 29/10
Hull City 5/1

Fulham vs. Coventry City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

On Sunday, Championship leaders Fulham welcome Coventry to Craven Cottage. The Sky Blues have had a solid season, but Mark Robins’ troops have slipped eight points behind sixth after a poor run of results. This will be another stern test for Coventry.

Fulham have one foot in next season’s Premier League. Marco Silva’s men have been the standout side in the division this season, with the Cottagers winning 25 of their 39 league fixtures. They are 11 points above second and, more importantly, 17 points clear of third.

Coventry surprised many with their stunning start, but as the season has progressed, the Sky Blues have struggled to maintain those standards. Their latest defeat at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night saw them slip down to 12th.

Fulham are closing in on an instant return to the Premier League, and Silva’s boys should claim another big three points at the Cottage on Sunday. We fancy the Londoners to dominate this one from start to finish, and there is good value in 11/4 for Fulham to win both halves.

Fulham 4/9
Draw 17/5
Coventry City 23/4

Huddersfield Town vs. Luton Town: Best EFL Championship Betting Tips on Matchday 41

The matchday concludes on Monday with the intriguing affair at the John Smith’s Stadium between Huddersfield and Luton. These two clubs have arguably been the surprise packages in the Championship this season. Can one of these claim a massive three points on Monday?

Huddersfield recently went on a staggering unbeaten run, but Carlos Corberan’s men then lost two on the bounce. However, after back-to-back defeats to Millwall and Bournemouth, the Terriers returned to winning ways last time out, edging past Hull at the MKM Stadium.

Luton have had a sensational season under Nathan Jones. Ahead of the weekend’s action, the Hatters are riding high in fourth spot, amassing 65 points from 40 games. Finishing in the top six will be a gigantic achievement for the Bedfordshire boys, but they would certainly deserve it.

The pair are hard to split in the Championship table, with Town just a point above, and we can see the duo cancelling each other out at the John Smith’s Stadium on Monday night. Check out the tempting price of 10/3 for the draw and both teams to score.
