Bournemouth vs. Brentford: EFL Betting Tip

After a stunning run of results, Jonathan Woodgate’s Bournemouth have leapfrogged Thomas Frank’s Brentford in the Championship table. This weekend, the Cherries and the Bees square off in a mouth-watering matchup at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth have turned their fortunes around since Woodgate took over on a permanent basis. Since losing at home to Barnsley in mid-March, the Cherries have won seven in a row, thumping Millwall 4-1 at The Den last time out. Bournemouth are now third, eight points behind Watford.

Too many draws have put paid to Brentford’s automatic promotion hopes. They have a game in hand on second, but the Bees have slipped ten points behind after six draws from their last seven. However, Frank’s troops are unbeaten in eight (six draws, two wins).

Bournemouth are on fire at the moment, and we fancy the club from the coast to chalk up an eighth consecutive Championship victory on Saturday. The hosts are priced at 29/20 to take maximum points from this one.

Middlesbrough vs. Sheffield Wednesday: Best Football League Betting Predictions

Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough entertain Darren Moore’s Sheffield Wednesday in what is a huge fixture for the Owls. After a crucial midweek win over Blackburn Rovers, can Wednesday make it back-to-back victories this weekend?

Warnock’s Boro have ended the season with a bit of a whimper. However, after picking up a solitary point from a possible 15, Middlesbrough came from behind to beat Rotherham United at the New York Stadium in midweek, which did Sheffield Wednesday a favour.

Wednesday have given themselves a glimmer of hope after a 1-0 win over Blackburn on Tuesday, but the Owls are still four points adrift of safety. However, with Wayne Rooney’s Derby in such woeful form at present, Moore’s troops still have every chance of surviving if they can win this one.

Unfortunately for the Owls, we can see Middlesbrough picking up all three points on their own patch. There is good value in the home win and both teams to score at 9/2.

Middlesbrough 6/5

Sheffield Wednesday 40/17

Queens Park Rangers vs. Norwich City: EFL Betting Odds & Predictions

Two form sides clash at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday when Mark Warburton’s Queens Park Rangers entertain Daniel Farke’s Norwich. After back-to-back defeats for the first time since October, the champions elect will be looking for a win in the capital.

Since the turn of the year, QPR have been one of the form sides in the Championship. Rangers, who have won 13 league games in 2021, picked up an impressive 1-0 win at Swansea City in midweek, with Lyndon Dykes’ goal coming in the 89th minute.

Norwich have gone off the boil since promotion to the Premier League was confirmed, losing at home to Bournemouth and Watford in their last two. Prior to that, though, Farke’s boys had won 11 and drawn two of 13.

This intriguing Championship fixture could go either way, so our money is going the draw. The stalemate and over 2.5 goals at 9/1 has caught the eye.

Norwich City 17/20

Watford vs. Millwall: Best EFL Betting Tips on Matchday 44

Xisco Munoz’s Watford are on the brink of Championship promotion. One win from their remaining three games will be enough. This weekend, the Hornets welcome Gary Rowett’s Millwall to Vicarage Road.

Apart from a minor setback at Luton Town recently, Munoz’s boys have not put a foot wrong in recent months. Since going three without victory, the Hornets have gone on to win 12 of their following 15. Watford will still have eyes for the Championship title.

Millwall were on a decent run before a heavy home loss to Swansea earlier in the month. Since successive wins over the likes of Middlesbrough, Rotherham and Stoke City, the Lions have taken just one point from a possible nine.

Watford have the best home record in the division by quite some margin, winning 17 of 21 Championship matches at Vicarage Road this term. The Hertfordshire outfit should cruise to another home win on Saturday. Take a punt on Watford to win both halves at 3/1.
