The semi-finals of the 2020-21 Carabao Cup will take place in midweek. Unlike in previous years, this season’s semi-finals will both be one-legged affairs.

On Tuesday, London sides Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford square off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while rivals Manchester United and Manchester City do battle at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Which two teams will go through and contest this year’s EFL Cup final at Wembley Stadium?

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Brentford: EFL Cup Betting Tip

On Tuesday, Premier League giants Tottenham welcome EFL Championship high-flyers Brentford to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first Carabao Cup semi-final. Spurs, who are currently in 4th place in the Premier League, are the clear favourites to go through. However, the Bees are on a staggering unbeaten run at present.

Tottenham have had an incredibly busy season, but the north London outfit have played just two EFL Cup games to reach the last four. After their first match with Leyton Orient was cancelled, the Lilywhites edged past London rivals Chelsea on penalties to seal their passage through to the quarter-finals. Before Christmas, Jose Mourinho’s men beat Stoke City 3-1 at the bet365 Stadium to make it to the final four.

Our betting prediction:
Harry Kane to score first
2/1

Brentford are enjoying another superb season under the popular Thomas Frank. The Bees are flying high in the Championship and have beaten four Premier League clubs to book their place in the last four of the EFL Cup. After seeing off fellow Championship side Wycombe Wanderers in round one, Brentford have got the better of Southampton, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham and Newcastle United.

Brentford, who have Premier League aspirations, will no doubt give Tottenham a good game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, we fancy Jose’s boys to edge an entertaining encounter on their own patch. You can get the top odds of 2/1 for the hosts to win and both teams to score.

Manchester United vs. Manchester City: Best Carabao Cup Betting Tips & Predictions

Rivals Man Utd and Man City go head-to-head in a mouth-watering EFL Cup semi-final at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. With both Manchester clubs in fine fettle ahead of this crunch cup clash, this one could go either way. However, the Citizens are the favourites with the bookies.

United are on a ten-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, winning eight and drawing two since losing at home to Arsenal on November 1st. In the League Cup, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have cruised to away wins at Luton Town, Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton, scoring eight and conceding none.

Man City have been EFL Cup specialists since Pep Guardiola arrived in England. In 2021, the Citizens will be gunning for a fourth straight Carabao Cup triumph. On their way to the last four of this season’s edition, City have seen off Bournemouth, Burnley and Arsenal. Will they book their slot in yet another domestic final?

Our betting prediction:
Man City win & both teams to score
11/4

As we touched on, Man Utd and Man City are both in great form. United may be the home side, but City make the trip to Old Trafford as the bookies’ favourites at evens. It could be a close one, but we are backing the visitors to secure a narrow victory at the home of their rivals. Take a punt on the 2-1 Man City win at 7/1.
