Hibs are in control of Group C in the Scottish League Cup. It is eight points from their three games so far. It all started back away from home against Stirling where they took a bonus point in a penalty shootout. They followed that up with strong home performances, banking clean sheet wins over Alloa and then Arbroath. So Hibs are strong outright favourites to win in this final fixture.
There is a scenario where they could be caught by second-placed Arbroath. But were that to happen to Hibs they would probably get through as one of the best second-placed teams. Because they were in Europe last season, Hibs didn’t start the Scottish League Cup until the second round (last sixteen). They got through that with a 3-2 win over Ross at Easter Road, but then lost on a penalty shout out to Aberdeen in the quarter-finals.
