Century Dream the 2/1 FAV for Diomed Stakes betting

The last time that the 5-year-old picked up a win was in 2018, but even in defeat, Prince Eiji has been running well.

There’s enough to suggest that a place finish isn’t beyond him at Epsom on Saturday at the very least.

Does Marie’s Diamond have enough?

There was a decent reappearance run for MARIE’S DIAMOND who produced one of his better efforts in that.

Connections and supporters will have been disappointed by his follow up, however. Marie’s Diamond produced a poor effort at Ascot 38 days ago.

But overall, he is a smart performer and may be worth another chance on what will be his third run at Epsom.

Escobar not without place claims

If ESCOBAR can shake off a poor effort at York on his latest run, then place claims could be there for him.

He was out in Dubai for the start of this year and things just didn’t happen for him.

However, a return to the UK looks to have perked him up since.

He did look to be getting himself back on track on UK soil as he took third place in the Victoria Cup at Ascot last month.

Escobar looks to be on decent par with a lot of the challenges in this contest, so could show up competitively at Epsom.

He followed up with a slightly below par effort at Windsor on his follow up, which was 26 days ago. But there have been a couple of place finishes for the 8-year-old before in the Diomed.

PHOLAS has had a fantastic time of things on the all-weather this season. She improved to claim a superb win at Lingfield earlier this year.

But there has not been any progress made by her on the switch to the turf. It’s been back to back listed efforts on the turf and she has not had any impact whatsoever, so this looks to be beyond Pholas.
