There has not been a shortage of hype surrounding SANTA BARBARA this year, and she is back in the limelight once more.
She was well backed for the 1000 Guineas on her first run as a 3-year-old last month.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien saw her come home fourth to stablemate Mother Earth in that contest. But that was an accomplished run by Santa Barabara considering it was only her second race.
She didn’t look green at all, and could easily develop into a high-class middle distance performer.
There is naturally going to be improvement expected now.

Ziyadah not expected to be far away
Another with some strong claims in The Oaks racing odds is ZEAYAADAH who had a perfect three from three as a juvenile.
She is a quote of 5/1 for The Oaks on Friday* (odds recorded at 23:12 GMT on June 3rd, 2021 at Coral).
On her reappearance, Zeyaadah was second to Dubai Fountain, after receiving 3lb from that rival in the Cheshire Oaks.
She comes up on a trip from that effort and is more than entitled to come forward in progress following that contest.
Dubai Fountain with a strong shout

She earned a win in the Cheshire Oaks on her reappearance run, despite conceding 3lb to the runner up Ziyaadah.
So that puts Mark Johnston’s filly in very good stead for this contest. She looks like she will take to the trip and conditions well at Epsom.
Dubai Fountain is a good consistent start and on her final run as a 2-year-old went well to claim a fourth-place finish in the Fillies’ Mile.
There’s plenty of potential there for Dubai Fountain, so she gets the nod.
Snowfall looks for a double
SNOWFALL could be an interesting player in The Oaks racing odds at Epsom on Friday.
She has gone in pattern company before but failed to make a big impact there as a juvenile.
But Snowfall looked a lot stronger on her reappearance as a 3-year-old, blowing away that 2-year-old form to score at the Group 3 Musidora Stakes at York last month.
That score for Snowfall was by 4 lengths over a 1m 2f distance. It will be interesting to see what more she has in her now at this level.
It’s naturally a much harder contest, and won’t be freely allowed to dominate like she was at York.

Saffron Beach not without a chance
SAFFRON BEACH had a good start to her career, winning her two efforts as a juvenile.
As a 2-year-old she did claim a Group 3 win which put her on the map.
Saffron Beach was in the 1000 Guineas last month and did nothing wrong in the contest at all. She claimed second place, finishing ahead of Santa Barbara.
The extra distance here is likely to be a bit of a question for Saffron Beach. But she is not without a chance if she can get anywhere near staying on this trip.

Others to note
DIVINELY was fourth on her latest run in the Lingfield Oaks Trial, and has decent place claims at this distance. Divinely is no forlorn hope.
LA JOCONDE is a maiden and steps back into action after a fourth-place finish in the Cheshire Oaks behind winner Dubai Fountain. She could easily have more to offer.
MYSTERY ANGEL was a winner at Newmarket on her penultimate effort, scoring in the Pretty Polly at Newmarket. She followed that up with a fourth at York in the Musidora. He will likely need a couple to falter.
OCEAN ROAD looks easily open to further progress for Hugo Palmer. She was last seen a month ago taking the third place in the Lingfield Oak Trail.
Predictions & Tips for The Oaks Racing Odds

We think that she had a big chance after getting that Cheshire Oaks win under her belt, despite being at a higher weight than Ziyaadah in the contest.
That could be a nice piece of form, along with their fourth in the Fillies’ Mile as a 2-year-old.
Another for our shortlist is SAFFRON BEACH at 11/1* (odds recorded at 23:12 GMT on June 3rd, 2021 at Coral).
There is a question mark over her staying a mile and a half, but looks stacked with potential after a good 1000 Guineas effort.
A leading contender for us is ZEYAADAH who could find this trip more suited to her than the shorter one in the Cheshire Oaks last time out.
