Toffees good for another clean-sheet win

Everton

Everton v Swansea Betting Tips – Premier League 18th December 8.00pm

This is a great chance for Everton to improve their situation even further. Sam Allardyce has made a difference and they are looking much stronger and more confident at the moment as the players seem to know what the are doing under him. As for Swansea they are still slumped down in the relegation zone and were hit hard in midweek in a loss to Manchester City. Can they muster up anything out of this, because this isn’t a great time to be running into Everton at the moment?

Everton News and Form

Things are looking up for the Toffees at the moment who have produced a solid W3 D1 record in their last four games. Those three wins in that sequence are as many as they managed to pick up over their first eleven games of the season. They are starting to look a bit more organized at the back and the Toffees have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four games. Everton to win to nil at William Hill has to be a good option for this game on the back of that and on the back of Swansea being so lightweight in front of goal. The Toffees are on a three match winning streak at Goodison Park in the league and they have scored at least two goals in each of those. The Toffees have scored at least two goals in five of their last six league outings at Goodison Park. Because of Swansea’s lack of scoring power, under 2.5 goals is worth looking at, Wayne Rooney is enjoying a new lease of life and he is a 7/4 anytime goalscorer option for the game and 71% of Everton’s goals on home soil this season have all come in the second half of matches. Everton surely have to grab this chance to improve their season further.

Swansea News and Form

Just last weekend Swansea gave themselves a glimmer of hope by taking a much needed home win over West Brom. but in midweek they were hammered on home soil by Man City as expected to knock the wind out their sails again. The Swans have now gone W1 D1 L7 in their last nine Premier League fixtures and during that run of games, they have only managed to put the four goals on the board as well. In the William Hill correct score market an Everton 2-0 scoreline looks a reasonable option for the game at a price of 13/2 while a 1-0 victory for the Toffees is at 11/2. The only win for Swansea this season happened out on the road at Crystal Palace back in August. Currently, the Welsh club are on a five match losing streak on their travels and they have managed just the four league goals away from home. Defensively they have been pretty solid really with only eight goals conceded in their eight road games, taking a clean sheet in 38% of their away fixtures. Their real issue is a lack of scoring threat and they don’t look to have an answer for that at the moment so both teams not to score at William Hill has to be a pretty decent banker for the fixture. Four of Swansea’s five away defeats this season have been by just the one goal margin.

Everton v Swansea Head to Head

Swansea collected four points from their two league outings against Everton last season and they are actually unbeaten in their last seven games against the Toffees in all competitions with a W3 D4 record on the board. They are unbeaten in their last three league visitors to Goodison Park as well (W1 D2). Both teams have scored in just one of the last six clashes between them.

Everton v Swansea Predictions

Everton to win: The improvement of the Toffees means that they are value to go and get themselves a victory in this one and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if it was to nil as well for them too. Swansea are just not offering up much opposition anywhere at the moment and are there for the taking.
