Hamilton to sweep to victory in Texas

Sports Betting

Will Lewis Hamilton win the F1 World Championship this weekend in the USA? The British driver needs a win in Texas while also needing Serbian Vettel to finish no higher than sixth in the race in order for that to happen. On Friday, Hamilton was in scintillating form topping out both practice sessions and that has strengthened his chances of winning the race on Sunday. He is at 4/7 with William Hill to take the race win which edges him closer to the title.

Hamilton has won three of the last four races for the season now and his title push has been helped out by the downfall of Vettel’s challenge. The team have had a terrible run of results across Singapore, Malaysia and Japan, with Vettel having to retire from two of those. The Ferrari driver had a tough time in practice on Friday spinning off the track and not getting much quality time in on the track at all. Vettel has won once before at the USA Grand Prix, back in 2013.

Vettel was third quickest behind Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Hamilton has enjoyed a tremendous record at the USA Grand Prix with three consecutive wins there in his Mercedes and having claimed five of the last six editions of the race. You really can’t argue with that. This is a big track advantage for him here and he has the speed, the edge and the proven track record to just go and make this a procession from tape to tape. Hamilton is 1/3 at William Hill to collect Pole Position.

The three final remaining races of the season, in Mexico, Brazil and Abu Dhabi should shift some impetus back to Ferrari but the damage has already been done and Hamilton is going to be lifting the World Championship at some point. With Vettel struggling a bit on Friday, it could bring the Red Bull of Verstappen into contention for a podium finish and he is a 6/1 price at William Hill to land a top three finish which is decent enough price.

USA F1 Prediction

Given the form that Hamilton has shown in the USA before and with the current momentum behind this season, it should be a pole to chequered flag win for Hamilton here. He holds all the aces and throw in a fastest lap as well, he can land it all in Texas.
