League One side Shrewsbury managed to do their homework and got a draw against Premier League side Wolves while AFC Wimbledon produced fantastic 4-2 home victory over West Ham.

Crystal Palace dumped out Spurs, while Manchester United got the better of the big duel between themselves and Arsenal. Heading into the fifth round of action Manchester United will be featuring in the big feature match of the round once again as they face holders Chelsea.

In such an exciting FA Cup season there are only six confirmed Premier League sides in what will be the final 16. The only addition which could be made is Brighton who face a replay against Championship side West Brom.

 Fifth round draw

Bristol City v Shrewsbury Town or Wolverhampton Wanderers
AFC Wimbledon v Millwall
Doncaster Rovers v Crystal Palace
Middlesbrough or Newport County v Manchester City
Chelsea v Manchester United
Swansea v Barnet or Brentford
Portsmouth or Queens Park Rangers v Watford
Brighton & Hove Albion or West Bromwich Albion v Derby County

The highlight of the fifth round draw is pretty clear. Manchester United are clearly going to have to do things the hard way to get their hands on the FA Cup this season. They started in the fourth round with a tough away game at Arsenal, and now they have to make a trip to another of England’s big six as they visit Chelsea.

Chelsea are the reigning FA Cup holders as they beat Manchester United in last season’s final. A single goal from Eden Hazard from the penalty spot, gave the Blues the title. The last FA Cup title for Manchester United happened in their 2015/16 season when they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in the final. Chelsea meanwhile have been to the last two FA Cup finals.

Manchester City remain the outright favourites at a price of 7/5 odds now. City cruised through their fourth-round tie against Burnley and they will be heavily fancied to win their fifth-round tie which will be against either Championship side Middlesbrough or League Two outfit Newport County. Lowest ranked side left in the tournament Barnet will face off in a replay against Championship side Brentford after a thrilling 3-3 draw at The Hive on Monday night.
