Last Friday a punter decided to go for some ambitious horse racing picks to create a couple of bets at Boylesports. The punter struck a €1.50 each way accumulator and a €0.25 each way Lucky 15 bet with the bookmaker.
Four racing selections were picked for the Lucky 15 along with an acca built from races at Downpatrick. The stake played in total across the two bets was €10.50 the action started with a 7/1 selection Manomine. The horse had actually won at a 5/1 SP but the bet was honoured at the earlier bigger price.
The second selection also saw the punter benefit from an early 8/1 price on Pat’s Pearl who won at 6/1. Canadian Steel was the third horse home in the bet, banking wide margin victory by thirteen lengths. The fourth and final pick of the Downpatrick action all hinged on Centaur.
He duly obliged for the punter, toppling the 11/8 favourite Global Society. The punter collected a handsome sum of €5,565.34 from the €1.50 each way accumulator and another €1,525.42 for the €0.25 each way Lucky 15.
