Finland News and Form – Can Finland upset Italy?
Finland secured a 1-0 home success over Greece on Thursday, with Norwich striker Teemu Pukki continuing his good form with the only goal of the game. That came from the penalty spot in the second half. So Finland are sat in second place behind Italy with a W4 L1 record on the board. They trial the Italians by three points but hold a three-point advantage over third-placed Bosnia and Herzegovina. So that makes five wins from five for them in the qualification group. Roberto Mancini’s side are well down the path to booking their place at next summer’s Finals. Italy are on a six-match winning streak and are unbeaten in nine (W7 D2).
