But they managed themselves well enough to win their group and since the knockout stages have arrived, they have started to get up through the gears. What a performance that Belgium found in the quarter finals as they took out Brazil. That was night and day to how they played against Japan in the round of sixteen because they were so poor in that. That poor showing meant that they were big underdogs for their duel with Brazil, but the Red Devils tweaked their formation, their tactics and starting personnel and came up big. They were sitting pretty at 2-0 up at halftime and then it was just a matter of digging in and seeing the game out, looking for more opportunities on the break. Romelu Lukaku had a tremendous game without getting on the scoresheet and is a good anytime goalscorer option for this game. That was just about as good as it gets and Belgium looked like World beaters at times in that match. The question is, will they be able to replicate it in the semi-finals?
