Brazil made a mess of things in the group stage. Heading into the World Cup 2019 they were actually on a nine-match losing streak. But they beat Jamaica 3-0 in their opening game which looked to settle them. They were then 2-0 against Australia in their next game but then they collapsed to suffer a 3-2 defeat as they couldn’t hold their nerve under pressure.
