Sunday will see the first big game of the new season as Chelsea and Arsenal square off at Wembley. Chelsea are trading as 13/10 favourites to take the win, with Arsenal at 2/1 and the draw over 90 minutes at 5/2.
The Blues are unbeaten in their last eight games against Arsenal in all competitions and they have the Jose Mourinho factor as well. The Special One has never lost a match against Arsene Wenger as Chelsea boss. The Blues have also managed to keep Arsenal off the scoresheet in their last six meetings, so while the two of them aren’t that far apart in the match outrights, Chelsea are still seen as favourites.
The Blues are waiting to see how bad Diego Costa’s new hamstring problem is, but they have good back up in Loic Remy and now Radamel Falcao. Arsenal will definitely be missing on of their key players, as Alexis Sanchez won’t be in the match as he missed the start of the season following international duty with Chile at the Copa America.
