Fulham v Derby Betting Preview – Championship 18th November 5.30pm

Fulham are badly in need a win after only having collected one point in their last four league games. They haven’t been able to hang in there in a tougher run of matches recently but on top of that, they have failed to beat a couple sides struggling for form as well. Derby are knocking on the door of the Championship top six and have won four of their last five, in that sequence having collected a couple of good away wins.

Fulham v Derby Betting Tips

Things just are not going right for Fulham this season and they are on a current streak of form that has seen them collect just the two points. Defensively they are in a bit of a mess and last season they covered it up with good scoring output, but that has not been there for them this season. Fulham have not picked up a clean sheet in any of their last eleven games now in the Championship and only 25% of Fulham’s home games this season have seen more than two goals. Under 2.5 goals at Betfair is a quote of even money and that should have some nice appeal. Fulham have drawn five of their eight games at Craven Cottage this season (W1 L2) and it’s not unreasonable to assume that another tie will turn up in this one. Fulham have averaged a goal per game at Craven Cottage in the league and they are still awaiting their first clean sheet of the season there.

Both teams to score at Betfair is up at a price of 8/13. Stefan Johansen is Fulham’s top scorer this season with four goals and he is an 11/4 quote in the anytime goalscorer market. He, nor any other Fulham player has netted more than one league goal on home soil this season. 75% of Fulham’s goals in the league at home this season have all come in the second half of matches so the half time draw is a reasonable option here. A half time draw at Betfair comes in at a price of 6/5. Fulham have failed to beat Derby in the last four attempts (D2 L2) but they have drawn their last two at Craven Cottage against them. As a positive though, Fulham have not lost any of their last six league games at home against Derby (W2 D4).

It’s been a pretty solid season from Derby and they were on a long unbeaten streak of form before a 4-2 loss at Pride Park against Reading before the international break. They were seven unbeaten before that, winning their last four on the bounce. Derby have scored exactly two goals in each of their last five games now so they should be a threat in this one. In the Betfair correct score market, a Derby 2-1 result actually looks pretty appealing at a price of 10/1 with the 1-1 draw in at half the quote at 5/1. Away from home in the Championship this season, Derby have produced a W3 D3 L2 record and they are undefeated in their last four as well away from Pride Park, winning the last two with 2-1 victories over Norwich and Leeds. Those aren’t easy places at which to win and they could take their chances in this one.

Fulham v Derby Predictions

Derby to win: The Rams have produced a couple of good victorious out at Norwich and Leeds recently to suggest that they can deliver three points in this one. Fulham just have not been on point defensively this season and may once struggle against one of the better sides in the division.
