Fulham v Luton Town Predictions & Betting Odds – 23rd October 2019

Easy victory for the Cottagers

Fulham v Luton Town Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 23rd October 19.45pm

Fulham fell to a shock 2-0 defeat at Stoke City last time out, so Scott Parker’s boys will be looking for maximum points when Luton Town visit Craven Cottage in the EFL Championship on Wednesday. Despite sitting in tenth spot, the Cottagers are still one of the favourites for promotion. Luton picked up an impressive win over Bristol City last weekend, but Graeme Jones’ men are the big underdogs in this one.

Fulham News and Form – Vital three points for the Cottagers?

Fulham, who were relegated from the Premier League last term, have not made a particularly good start to life back in the Championship. The Cottagers languish in tenth place after picking up just 19 points from 12 league fixtures, winning only five times along the way.

Fulham were unbeaten in six league games ahead of last Saturday’s trip to the bet365 Stadium. However, lowly Stoke got the better of Scott Parker’s troops, with a goal in each half doing the business for Nathan Jones’ Potters.

Fulham have struggled for wins of late, winning only two of their past eight in the Championship. As a consequence, the London club have dropped six points behind league leaders West Bromwich Albion as we go into the 13th round of fixtures. Fulham will be desperate for maximum points in midweek.

Luton Town News and Form – Hatters to come up short at the Cottage?

Luton Town have had a testing start since gaining promotion back to the Championship from EFL League One. However, the Hatters are holding their own, claiming 14 points from their opening 12 fixtures. In fact, victory at Craven Cottage would put them just two points behind Fulham.

Town responded expertly well from their 2-0 defeat at Pride Park, thumping in-form Bristol City at Kenilworth Road last weekend. Second-half strikes by Pelly Ruddock and Harry Cornick and an Ashley Williams own goal gave Luton a deserved 3-0 home win over the Robins.

Luton have sealed three league and cup wins away from home this season but getting all three points at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night will be a tall order for last season’s League One winners.

Fulham v Luton Town Tips & Odds

Fulham to win both halves at 11/4
Aleksandar Mitrovic to score two or more goals at 10/3

Fulham v Luton Town Predictions

Fulham win: These two clubs were two leagues apart last season, as Fulham were relegated from the top flight, while Luton won the League One title. The Cottagers have not been at their best of late, but they should see off the Hatters with ease on home turf on Wednesday. Check out the tempting price of 11/4 for the home team to win both halves.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is the joint leading marksman in the Championship at the moment with Brentford’s Ollie Watkins, with each player scoring an impressive eight league goals so far. Mitrovic drew a blank at Stoke last time out, but the Serbia international had scored five in three for club and country before then. The 25-year-old always fancies his chances of getting on the scoresheet, and I can see him notching on Wednesday. bet365 are offering the decent odds of 10/3 for Mitrovic to score two or more goals in this one.
