Fulham vs Leeds United Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 21st December 15.00pm

Two of the EFL Championship’s big hitters lock horns this weekend, as Scott Parker’s Fulham welcome Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United to Craven Cottage. The Cottagers have lost their last three, while Leeds chucked away a three-goal lead to draw 3-3 at home with Cardiff City last weekend. With leaders West Bromwich Albion playing in-form Brentford, can Leeds end the weekend in first place?

Fulham News and Form – Can the Cottagers return to winning ways?

Scott Parker’s Fulham were flying high recently, winning four on the spin to fire themselves into third place. However, things have not gone to plan for the Londoners of late, as the Cottagers head into this home match having lost each of their last three.

After losing at home to Bristol City and then away at Preston North End, Fulham were beaten by rivals Brentford last time out. Bryan Mbeumo’s first-half strike was enough to give the Bees a narrow 1-0 victory at Griffin Park.

Fulham’s poor run has seen them slip down to sixth. It’s very tight in the top half of the table, though Parker’s boys are now a whopping 12 points behind second-place Leeds. Fulham have lost two of their last four at Craven Cottage, but can the London club pick up a precious three points on their own patch this weekend?

Key-Facts – Fulham vs Leeds United

  • Fulham have lost their last three league encounters
  • Leeds are unbeaten in 11, winning eight and drawing three
  • United have the second-best away record in the league, taking 23 points from 11 fixtures

Leeds United News and Form – Whites to bounce back with an away victory?

Goals from Helder Costa and Patrick Bamford (2) gave Leeds United a commanding 3-0 lead over Neil Harris’ Cardiff City at Elland Road last weekend. However, the hosts capitulated in the last 30 minutes, gifting the Bluebirds three goals and a share of the spoils.

Prior to last Saturday’s hiccup against Cardiff, United had won seven Championship games in a row. Bielsa’s troops have been superb away from home, winning seven of 11 and taking 23 points from a possible 33. Only leaders West Brom have accumulated more away points thus far.

Leeds will be hoping that last weekend’s result was just a minor blip as they pursue the Baggies at the top. Slaven Bilic’s boys are now two points ahead, but who will be Christmas number one in the Championship?

Fulham vs Leeds United Predictions

Draw: It’s hard to put your finger on what’s gone wrong for Fulham in recent weeks. Parker’s men were flying when they beat Swansea City 2-1 at the Liberty Stadium three weeks ago, moving just two points behind the automatic places. Fast forward three games, Fulham are now 12 points adrift of second place.

Despite last weekend’s strange draw with Cardiff, Leeds have looked unstoppable of late. Away from Elland Road, United are unbeaten in five, winning their last three. However, with Fulham in desperate need of a win, I can see these two playing out an entertaining draw in the capital. Back the draw and over 2.5 goals at 15/8. Also, take a punt on the draw and both teams to score, which is available at the tempting odds of 15/4.
