Fulham News and Form – Comfortable home victory for the Cottagers?

Before the international break, Fulham picked up a much-needed win over Birmingham City at St Andrew’s. The Blues are very solid on home soil, but the Cottagers sealed a 1-0 victory thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic’s second-half goal.

In their last home match, though, the Cottagers were thumped by Hull City, with the Tigers leaving Craven Cottage with a shock 3-0 win. Fulham have struggled for consistency on their own patch all season, winning two, drawing two and losing one of their last five at the Cottage.

Promotion is the main aim for the west Londoners this season. Fulham have made an okay start, taking 26 points from 16 league games, but they could do with stepping on the gas as we approach Christmas. Parker’s boys will move into fourth place with a win before the others play later in the day.

Key-Facts – Fulham vs Queens Park Rangers

  • Fulham were beaten 3-0 at home by Hull in their previous home outing
  • Rangers have won four of seven away games in the Championship
  • The Cottagers have won only two of their last six at the Cottage

Queens Park Rangers News and Form – Can Rangers secure a fifth away league win?

Mark Warburton’s men made an excellent start to their season. Rangers would have gone top if they had beaten rivals Brentford in late October, but the R’s lost that one 3-1. QPR now find themselves down in tenth position on 24 points, four points adrift of the top six.

Queens Park Rangers have had a mixed bag of results away from home this season. The London outfit have won four and lost three of seven away fixtures, scoring nine and conceding 12. QPR have lost two of their last three on their travels.

Before the international break, Rangers’ winless run stretched to four games as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Middlesbrough at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Can Warburton’s boys return to winning ways this Friday night?

Fulham vs Queens Park Rangers Predictions

Fulham win: Queens Park Rangers have certainly blown hot and cold away from home this season. In fact, only league leaders West Bromwich Albion and in-form Brentford have picked up more away wins in this season’s Championship so far. However, they have lost at Bristol City, Cardiff City and Leeds United, failing to score in all three.

Fulham responded well from their poor 3-0 loss to Hull by narrowly beating Birmingham at St Andrew’s last time out. You never quite know which QPR side will show up, but the Cottagers should come out on top in this clash. Put some money on the hosts to win to nil at 12/5.

Fulham will be without the suspended Aleksandar Mitrovic, so Parker will be looking elsewhere for goals. Skipper Tom Cairney recently scored four times in three games, and the midfielder is priced at 8/1 to net the opener on Friday.
