Germans to seal a narrow win in Valenciennes

Germany Women v Spain Women Betting Tips – 2019 Women’s World Cup, 12th May 17.00pm

Germany and Spain go head-to-head at the Stade du Hainaut in Valenciennes in a 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup group game on Wednesday. Both sides kicked off their campaign with a win, so the winners of this one will book their place in the knockout rounds. Can the Germans get the win, or will underdogs Spain pick up all three points in Valenciennes?

Germany Women News and Form – Germans to keep up fine record?

Germany are one of the World Cup favourites, but they must navigate through a tricky group to reach the Round of 16 first. The Germans are up against Spain, China and South Africa in Group B in France.

In a tough game with China in Rennes last week, Guilia Gwinn’s goal midway through the second period was enough to give Martina Voss-Tecklenburg’s ladies all three points at Roazhon Park. After facing Spain on Wednesday, Germany end their group campaign with a fixture against South Africa in Montpellier.

The Germans are in very good form at the moment, as they are unbeaten in 13, with 11 of those ending in wins. Germany have not tasted defeat since losing 3-0 to France in Florida, USA in the SheBelieves Cup back in March 2018.

With the National Eleven in such fine fettle, Voss-Tecklenburg’s girls will be hard to beat in Valenciennes in midweek.

Spain Women News and Form – La Roja to come up short in Valenciennes?

Spain’s victory over South Africa in their opening World Cup game was their first win in three. Meanwhile, the Spaniards are undefeated in four, winning two and drawing two. Jorge Vilda’s side will be hoping to make it two wins from two in Group B on Wednesday.

La Roja left it late against the South Africans in Le Havre last Saturday, as they were a goal down with just 21 minutes left. However, two goals from the penalty spot by Atletico Madrid’s Jennifer Hermoso and a late Lucia Garcia effort gave Spain a deserved 3-1 win at the Stade Oceane.

Vilda’s ladies might well be the underdogs in this one, but as they showed in last weekend’s win over South Africa, this Spanish side have plenty of resilience and character, which will no doubt stand them in good stead during their time in France. Can they cause a minor upset on Wednesday?

Germany Women v Spain Women Predictions

Germany win: Going by Germany’s tremendous recent run of results, Spain will no doubt have their work cut out in this one. This will not be an easy game for the Germans, but they should have enough to get the job done in Valenciennes. The German win is priced at 8/13. I also like the look of Germany to win and both teams to score, which you can get at the top price of 3/1.
