This could be the highlight of the weekend. Gloucester came up with a huge result on home soil in the Gallagher Premiership last Friday when they played host to the league leaders Exeter. Gloucester put on a tremendous show, controlling possession in the match as they posted a 24-17 victory over the Chiefs.
That moved the Cherry & Whites back up to fourth in the table and it will have put some wind in their sails to try and get some revenge over Saracens. When the two met back towards the end of September, Gloucester took a heavy 38-15 beating. That is back to back defeats that Gloucester have suffered against Sarries in the top flight, however, Gloucester have home form going.
Gloucester have won their last two at Kingsholm against Saracens, taking a 23-17 and a 31-23 victory in those two successes. They badly needed that win over Exeter last weekend too as they were on a four-match losing streak in all competitions. Saracens though are now league leaders after running up a big easy 33-10 win at home over Leicester last weekend. The thing is with Saracens, is they have lost a lot of players to the Six Nations, more so than Gloucester have done and that will make them just a little bit vulnerable for this road trip. Saracens though are on a five-match winning streak in all competitions and have outscored Gloucester 48-39 in league tries this season.

There is a good chance here for Gloucester with Saracens weakened by international duty. The Cherry & Whites are happy to keep the ball in the forwards and let those heavy carriers does the work. That’s where it’s likely to be won for them and with the boot of Billy Twelvetrees. There is enough to back the home side in the match outright.
