Kyprios 13/8 FAV in Goodwood Cup Tips & Odds

Lining up as the current favourite in Goodwood Cup Tips 2022 is Ascot Gold Cup winner KYPRIOS.

He is a quote of 13/8 to follow up in the second leg of the Stayers’ Triple Crown on Tuesday* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

He arrives at the top of his game after claiming victory in the Gold Cup by half of a length over Mojo Str.

Kyprios showed a tremendous attitude there to battle out the success and he looked comfortable in having been moved up in distance.

Connections couldn’t be happier with the progress of the 4-year-old, who has Ryan Moore booked for winning trainer Aiden O’Brien.

TRUESHAN
5/2

Coral

Trueshan a real threat

Last year’s winner of the Goodwood Cup was TRUESHAN and hasn’t looked back since then at all.

Trueshan is a quote of 5/2 to take the spoils in Goodwood Cup racing odds* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

It’s a five-race winning streak that he is currently sat on and did a truly tremendous job under weights at the Northumberland Plate on his latest.

That was such an eye-catching performance that Trueshan is hard to oppose in this one Tuesday.

He would be happier if the ground eased a bit. But he’s a massive contender and not to be overlooked.

Can Stradivarius rise back to the top?

There are bigger than ever questions about STRADIVARIUS at the moment as the great stayer tanked last time out.

He was in the Ascot Gold Cup and just had a terrible, luckless day at the office under Frankie Dettori.

His regular jockey has been ditched and instead Andrea Atzeni takes over. Atzeni has won all three rides on Stradivarius.

Stradivarius has won this four times before and is foolish to write off, even though he isn’t quite the force of old.

There is a quote of 9/4 on Stradivarius in Goodwood Cup Stakes odds* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

There was a victory recorded by him in the Yorkshire Cup on his May reappearances. He still retains the ability for a big show.

Can Princess Zoe raise her game?

PRINCESS ZOE arrives in fantastic form after winning the Sagaro Stakes at Ascot back in April. That was a good, eye-catching run.

There is a lot for her to do in terms of win purposes on Tuesday, but she is a smart mare.

Princess Zoe is a 20/1 outsider* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

She has ground to make up after finishing sixth at Royal Ascot in the Gold Cup. But there may have been health issues surrounding that effort.

Coltrane the best of the rest?

Andrew Balding’s COLTRANE is no mug and certainly looks to have the ability to potentially shake up the big three.

He has done nothing but improves this season and he is seeking a hattrick on Tuesday.

He bolted up to win a Listed run at Sandown 25 days ago by a whopping 10 lengths.

Coltrane did have things go his way, but he still produced a solid run.

This is obviously a tougher assignment for the 10/1 shot* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

But he couldn’t be going into this Group 1 in better form and warrants a look for place claims.

The rest of the runners

AWAY HE GOES was a sixth-place finisher in the Hardwicke Stakes, never having enough to make an impact there.

This is a better distance for him, but still has a lot to find on form.

ENEMY landed a victory in a competitive fixture at Musselburgh earlier this season.

Luck went against him in the Sagaro Stakes and subsequently found the Henry II Stakes at Sandown far too tough.

NATE THE GREAT has won two of his last five efforts and took a wide-margin score at Newmarket a couple of months ago.

He didn’t have a good show at Royal Ascot and he looks a long way short.

THUNDEROUS gave Stradivarius a decent run for his money in the Yorkshire Cup back in May.

A decent follow-up in a Group 3 came before getting nowhere near in the Silver Cup at York. He’s better than that latest effort, but others are preferable.

Predictions & Tips for Goodwood Cup Tips & Odds

What a cracking line-up we have here with three top stayers battling it out to get on the board.

The first selection in Goodwood Cup Tips is TRUESHAN at 5/2* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

His handicap form at Newcastle last time out was simply brilliant. That should give him a good shot at a follow-up in this race. Trueshan couldn’t be in a richer form.

KYPRIOS will be suited to the firmer ground than Trueshan will be, and he warrants respect from 13/8* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).

He’s been a terrific improver this season and has proven that he can live with the best after taking that Gold Cup score.

As for STRADIVARIUS, well, it’s Stradivarius who should receive a bit of a perk thanks to the change of rider.

Nothing was right on the day at the Ascot Gold Cup, but he is obviously a bigger player than that and is on the shortlist at 9/4* (odds recorded at 18:11 GMT on July 25th, 2022 at Coral).
