Grammys 2019 Winner odds & predcitions

Who will land top music awards?

Novelty Betting & Other Events Betting

Nominees will soon get the final results of who will be receiving what many artists would consider a lifelong dream, winning a Grammy. Considered the music industries highest recognition of talent and hard work, on Feb 10, 2019, the results of those voted as the winners will be unveiled and will receive this award.

The nominees are many and how can we go about predicting who will win? What artist will be at the end of the line “And the Grammy goes to…”? Well, luckily it’s not impossible to determine whom if you have the right information. I mean it’s not all luck and chance. There is a whole voting process and that begins weeks before they are even chosen. So here is some information that can help you if you were deciding on whom to bet on this year.

GRAMMYS 2019

This year we have a nice array of artists nominated from Childish Gambino to Lady Gaga. Kendrick Lamar is ahead of his fellow artists this year with a total of eight nominations. Categories like album of the year, song of the year, record of the year and a few others.

Other nominations include Cardi B, Drake (with seven nominations), Sound Wave, Maren Morris, Boi-1Da and Brandi, and Mike Bozzi. All of these nominees have multiple nominations with at least 4.

Then we have the new artist nominees including Chloe X Hale, Luke Combs, Greta Van Fleet, H.E.R., Dua Lipa, Jorja Smith, Bebe Rexha and Margo Price.

Album of the Year

This is one of the most esteemed awards of the Grammy’s. This year we have a wide variety of genres with no clear-cut winner and a stellar group of artists nominated for the prize. Musgraves is probably not the most likely to win Album of the Year at 6/4 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 on February 10th, 2019 at 6:46 pm) but its genre has had more luck winning against other genres such as hip hop in the past years. Also considering the fact that rap nominations have not won in quite a while it seems to put Cardi B and Drake along with Black Panther at a disadvantage. Musgraves is adored by critics and with its amazing release it can surprise us all and take home Album of the Year.

Record Of The Year

The list of records is pretty competitive with many of them peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard chart. “This is America” by Childish Gambino is at 4/7 odds for the win* (betting odds taken from bet365 on February 9th, 2019 at 6:46 pm), and it became the most streamed song and top-selling song in the week it was launched. And “The Middle” which broke the record of most weeks at No. 1 in the 5 and a half year history of Billboard chart for its category totalling 28 weeks you could easily say they all deserve Grammys.

Let’s look this over.

Best New Artists

H E R has received tremendous admiration and love in the 2019 Grammy nominations, the R&B artist earned five nominations including album of the year and best new artist. It’s obvious that the Grammys voters have a tremendous affection for Gabi Wilson. Making it very likely to have her take home the Grammy for best new artist. Another amazing artist in this category is Dua Lupa which is another nominee that is very likely to take home award. It would be a far stretch to say she has little odds to take the prestigious award considering her big hit single “New Rules”

BEST NEW ARTIST ODDS

H E R 11/10

Dua Lipa 13/8

Greta Van Fleet 13/2

Bebe Rexha 10/1

Chloe x Halle 16/1

Luke Combs 16/1

Margo Price 20/1

Jorja Smith 20/1

Looking at the overall picture there’s no easy way to say who is going to win in any category. Within every category, you have all stellar names and amazing artists. As far as album of the year I expect Musgraves to take home the prize. But don’t be surprised to somehow see the Black Panther Album be picked and make history at the Grammys.

As much as I’d like to say Childish Gambino should win record of the year I would lean towards Shallow or The Middle as I strongly feel these are obviously going to be the winners. As big of a hit as I Like It from Cardi B was I just don’t see her taking home the prize. It’s a very specific audience for her music.

For Song Of the Year, my call is either Shallow from Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper or it’s going be The Middle taking home the Grammy award. I won’t sit here and tell you the competitors are not close especially with amazing artist like Drake and Childish Gambino. But looking over the track record of the genre of the latter’s winning ratio I’d say its slim for them at best.

As far as Best New Artist I really have a tough time. Should I really have to make a decision I would go with H E R at 11/10 odds* (betting odds taken from bet365 on February 9th, 2019 at 6:46 pm). She is the name I hear in conversation out of all of these and seems to be the most praised.

Whomever takes home the Grammy in any of these category’s clearly deserves it. I can say that across the boards everyone mentioned should be the winner but we all know there is only room for one when you are talking about #1.
