Grande moved to the number one spot on November 15th and has been holding steady there. It looks as if from here on out it is going to be a shootout between Grande and newcomer Ava Max. Max stayed at number two on the weekend. The question really is whether or not Grande is going to start dropping away while Max, with her song “Sweet But Psycho” is still on the rise.

This is Max’s breakout smash hit and behind her in third place on the weekend, Halsey held ground with “Without Me”. That is as high as it has gotten but has remained there for the last two rounds of chart action. That probably suggests that Halsey isn’t going to have quite enough legs to go all the way and top the charts.

X Factor winner Dalton Harry and James Arthur have both seen their respective features slip away over the weekend. Then there is Mariah Carey who jumped up a spot to fifth on Sunday. It’s one of the most popular Christmas songs ever and the poppy tune is back on the charge. A couple of weeks ago it fired up from 34th into the top ten and it is still rising.
