Intisaab and Call Me Ginger

INTISAAB was out on Friday at Newmarket and produced a very good run to take second place. So while he only just failed there, this is a quick turnaround.
The big question about the talented horse is how much that run just a few days ago took out of him. That was a strong return to form for him though and he is a course and distance winner. There’s a fair chance that Intisaab is going to be in the places at least.
One of the main challengers will be 4 year old CALL ME GINGER who returns from a 228 day break. He broke his maiden back in the middle of September at Redcar. His form dipped after that, but it was a fairly promoting 3 year old campaign nonetheless and there could be a big improvement from him.
Muscika could upset the field
Big 10/1 shot MUSCIKA is one well worth noting in this race* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 16:27 GMT on Monday, 8th June 2020).
The last time that Muscika was off at a mark of 87 he ran well to take a fourth place finish, just two lengths back of the winner at Newcastle in a richer race than this.
This will be just his second run at Haydock and he placed in that contest. Muscika was stronger at the start of his last campaign than towards the end, but was taking on stiffer opposition than this at the end of it. He could pose a threat.
Can Triggered find some consistency?
4 year old TRIGGERED is coming back from a 228 day break and he will be going for his new stable. He is now with Mark Loughnane having moved from Ed Walker.
Triggered is a horse that is hit and miss, for example, to close out last season he took a good third place at Thirsk in his penultimate race before coming home last at Doncaster.
He has some experience at higher class than this, most of it not too successful so he should be comfortable back down here. He goes as a 12/1 option* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 16:27 GMT on Monday, 8th June 2020) for a bit of e/w action perhaps.
Can Royal Prospect handle his mark?
Going from a top mark of 88 for this handicap is ROYAL PROSPECT. He has won two of his last four runs, one each at Class 4 and Class 3/1. He tanked in his final race of last season as he tried to step up to Class 2.
But here at Class 3 he should be able to pull into the frame if he can handle his mark and he goes from 7/1* (betting odds taken from 888Sport at 16:27 GMT on Monday, 8th June 2020).
Predictions & Tips
This could be a fairly level playing field. Friday’s run for INTISAAB does leave a bit of a question mark over him, despite him being a big contender here.
So there could be a little more interest in swinging towards CALL ME GINGER who is likely to have improved after a decent 3 year old career. He should be one to watch in the field.
The top mark for ROYAL PROSPECT swings us away from him. So it is MUSCIKA who gets the nod from us in this one. That is on the back of a very good effort off this mark last time out.
