FA Cup holders Manchester City have received a home fixture for the fourth round of this season’s competition. City, who knocked out Port Vale at the Etihad on the weekend, are running as the 5/2 outright favourites to win the trophy again* (betting odds taken from Bet365 on January 6th, 2019 at 6:31 pm). They will play host to Championship side Fulham in the next round.
Big clubs face away days
Second-favourites Liverpool, who edged past rivals Everton at Anfield in their big third-round clash, will be heading out on the road to face the winner of the Bristol City v Shrewsbury replay. Other front runners in FA Cup betting have to deal with away games as well in the fourth round.
Chelsea have also received an away game from the draw, as they visit Championship side Hull. Meanwhile Tottenham would visit Southampton if they can get past Middlesbrough in their replay.
Wolves and Manchester United, who need a replay after a dreadful spectacle at Molineux, will be playing for a chance to potentially meet last year’s losing finalists Watford. The Hornets first would have to get past Tranmere in a replay.
