You do worry a little about the Ecuadorian defence, which their game is largely built on. They haven’t kept a competitive clean sheet in their last six played. Wouldn’t expect this one to play out to a draw as Ecuador’s previous eight World Cup matches haven’t produced one (W3 L5).
Ecuador played an adventurous game against Switzerland, and they should have too much for Honduras. The Central Americans produced a woeful 29% of possession in their opening game against France, losing 3-0. They have now failed to score in their last five World Cup matches, and have yet to produce a win in their seven previous games (D3 L4) at the final. They are a side who don’t win very often and they have put just one victory on the board in their last six matches, losing three of their last four now. This is their best chance at a point in the group, but Ecuador will probably have too much for them.

If there is going to be a winner, then it should be Ecuador. They have the form going against the Central Americans and just have more attacking options.
