Huddersfield Town News and Form – Can the Terriers pick up their first win of the season?
The Terriers had a woeful season in the Premier League last year, picking up just three wins and suffering a whopping 28 defeats. Huddersfield were incredibly poor in front of goal, scoring a mere 22 times in 38 league games.
Town have had a difficult start to this season, too. The Yorkshire club have claimed just one point from their opening two Championship matches. Siewert’s side started with a disappointing 2-1 home loss to Derby County. Then last weekend, Town failed to hold on to a lead in an eventual 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
Huddersfield were also beaten in the EFL Cup in midweek. A Harry Anderson goal gave EFL League One side Lincoln City a 1-0 win at the John Smith’s Stadium. Since taking over in Yorkshire back in January, Siewert has won just one game as Huddersfield boss. The German will want to put that poor stat right as soon as possible.

Fulham, who also dropped out of the Premier League last term, started life back in the Championship with a narrow defeat at Oakwell. The Cottagers saw more of the ball and had plenty of shots on the Barnsley goal, but Luke Thomas’ early strike for the Tykes proved to be the difference.
However, the Londoners hit back with an impressive performance last weekend. Goals from Tom Cairney and Aleksandar Mitrovic were enough to give Parker’s troops a 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage.
Fulham made some top signings in the summer, and they now have one of the strongest squads in the Championship. The likes of Harry Arter, Ivan Cavaleiro, Anthony Knockaert, Josh Onomah and Bobby Reid all made the move to Craven Cottage.
Fulham had the worst away record in the Premier League last season. The Whites secured just one win – a 1-0 victory at Bournemouth in April – and lost a staggering 16 of their 19 away league matches. Along the way, Fulham shipped 45 goals on the road.
