Huddersfield Town made a woeful start to their season, failing to win any of their opening ten league and cup matches, with eight of those ending in defeat. Danny Cowley lost his opening two games in charge, but Town have gone five fixtures without losing since then.

Barnsley, last season’s EFL League One runners-up, have not won a game in any competition since beating Fulham 1-0 at Oakwell on the opening weekend of the Championship season. Since then, the Tykes have taken a mere five points from 12 games. Adam Murray’s Barnsley are rock bottom on eight points, but victory on Saturday will see them leapfrog Huddersfield in the second tier table.
