Huddersfield Town vs Leeds United Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 7th December 12.30pm

Yorkshire sides Huddersfield Town and Leeds United square off at the John Smith’s Stadium in the EFL Championship on Saturday afternoon. With leaders West Bromwich Albion not playing until Sunday, three points for Marcelo Bielsa’s boys will take them back to the top of the Championship table. The Terriers have improved under new boss Danny Cowley, but Leeds will fancy their chances in this one.

Huddersfield Town News and Form – Terriers’ winless run to stretch to five matches?

The Cowley brothers have made a big impact at Huddersfield Town since taking over. Since losing their first two, the Terriers have been beaten just twice in 11 games. However, both of those defeats have come in the last four, drawing the other two.

Last time out, an injury-ravaged Huddersfield were thumped by Bristol City at Ashton Gate. Lee Johnson’s men ran riot, with the Robins securing a comfortable 5-2 victory. That was Town’s second successive away loss.

Huddersfield have been very hard to beat at the John Smith’s Stadium this season, winning two and drawing four of their last six on home turf. However, the only home wins they have picked up have come against Hull City and Barnsley. Can Danny Cowley’s troops battle to a surprise home victory on Saturday? At the moment, the hosts are priced at 6/1.

Leeds United News and Form – Easy victory for Bielsa’s boys?

Leeds United make the short trip to the John Smith’s having won each of their last five. Since back-to-back draws with Preston North End and Stoke City in October, United have secured consecutive wins over Queens Park Rangers, Blackburn Rovers, Luton Town, Reading and Middlesbrough.

Last time out, Leeds were far too good for Jonathan Woodgate struggling Boro at Elland Road. Patrick Bamford’s third-minute header gave them an early lead, with Mat Klich (2) and Helder Costa also getting in on the act in the big 4-0 home win.

Away from Elland Road, only current Championship leaders West Brom have picked up more away points. Marcelo Bielsa’s troops have been very impressive on their travels, taking 20 points from a possible 30. Leeds will be searching for their third away victory on the spin on Saturday afternoon.

Huddersfield Town vs Leeds United Predictions

Leeds United win: Huddersfield’s fortunes have definitely turned around since the Cowley brothers left Lincoln City to take over in West Yorkshire. However, the Terriers have had a little slump in form of late, taking just two points from the last 12 on offer.

Leeds have been flying of late. Bielsa’s boys are many people’s favourites to win the Championship title this season, and victory at the John Smith’s will be their sixth win in a row. United will fancy their chances in this one, and I’m backing the visitors to win 2-0 (6/1).

Fresh from his brace against Middlesbrough last week, Leeds’ Mat Klich will be riding on the crest of a wave. The Polish star has netted four goals this term, and Klich is available at 5/2 to score anytime in this one.
