Hull City News and Form – Can the Tigers make it two wins on the spin?
Hull City picked up a much-needed 3-0 win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road last weekend. The Tigers were sensational in Luton, with Kevin Stewart and Kamil Grosicki getting the goals.
That was Hull’s first victory in the league since beating Reading 2-1 at the KCOM on matchday two in early August. After that win over the Royals, McCann’s boys picked up just three points from a possible 15, drawing three and losing two.
After eight Championship matches, Hull find themselves in 14th place on nine points. The club from the East Riding of Yorkshire have won two, drawn three and lost three up until now. The Tigers are three points behind Saturday’s opponents.
Hull have struggled on their own patch of late, taking just one point from three games since beating Reading in their first Championship matchup of the season at the KCOM. Can they strike back at home with an important three points over the Bluebirds at the weekend?

Cardiff City, who were relegated from the Premier League last term, kicked off their season in the worst possible way. Despite taking the lead, City fell to a 3-2 defeat to Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium. Since then, though, the Bluebirds have lost just one of seven in the league.
After drawing successive games against Blackburn Rovers (0-0), Fulham and Derby County (both 1-1), Cardiff battled to a 1-0 home win over Middlesbrough in their last outing. It was a pretty even fixture with Jonathan Woodgate’s Boro, with an early own goal from Ashley Fletcher proving to be the difference. Those three points lifted City into 13th.
Cardiff have been very solid at the Cardiff City Stadium this season, winning three and drawing one of their opening four on home soil. Only Preston North End have picked up more home points, as they have 12 from a possible 12 to their name.
Away from home, though, the Bluebirds have yet to win, losing two and drawing two so far. However, the team from South Wales are unbeaten in two on the road, picking up draws at Blackburn and Derby.
Cardiff have not won away from home since beating Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United at Old Trafford on the final day of last season’s Premier League campaign. Will Warnock’s troops put that right at the weekend?
