There is only a small field for this 1m claiming race on the dirt at Santa Anita on Friday. This race is open to four-year-olds and above.

We have a clear front runner in this one which is Camina De Estrella who has every chance of scoring for this one. Camina De Estrella is one of two in the race for trainer Jeffrey Metz.

Camino De Estrella has won five times between 1m and 1f and although he missed out on a score as a favourite on his last trip, it was only by a short head. That was a 1m trip to Turf paradise in February.

Brings big claims to the table and hard to take a pass on for this contents at 6/4* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:11 GMT on Thursday 27th March 2020).

Top Of The Game badly misfired on his last 1m trip finishing right at the back of the pack in a field of 7. Play Hard To Get struggled on this last trip as well, making no impact at Golden Gate Fields and hasn’t won in over two years.

Rockandahardplace from trainer Metz should be respected in this one as he looks a useful runner, but not quite at the class of Camina De Estrella to be fair. Boy Howdy is a very consistent and steady performer but unlikely to find enough on the trip to the victory on the board.

Santa Anita 21:00 Race Odds & Tips

Billy K 11/4
Destiny’s Journey 3/1
K P Cats Wild 7/1
Trafficiskillingme 7/1

Another small field of action for Santa Anita on Friday. This is main track action over a 1m trip for three-year-old Filles only.

A very interesting and tough field to pick from in this one. Trafficiskillingme from 7/1 is likely to shorten* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:11 GMT on Thursday 27th March 2020).

His claims are bigger than her price. She struck a win as favourite at Turf Paradise on a 1m trip (good) earlier in March. That was a gritty win by just a neck but it was good enough to warrant some respect in this contest, albeit among some tough company.

K P Whirlwind has the blinkers on for the first time as she looks to improve on a fourth place finish at course and distance in January.

K P Cats Wild is looking for a double after scoring from 7/2 at course and distance on her latest outing which was in February. That was a win by four and a half lengths as well.

Billy K has won at distance before, but was heavily beaten on her last trip at the venue. That was at 7f but it was a major drop off in form and is probably best watched for this one more than anything.

This is a short five and a half furlong sprint on the main track in what is a claiming race for four years olds and above.

Minoso has to win with a respectable shout in this one as he comes back down a grade. His last win was over two years and he finished second from last on his last trip.

So he can be opposed in the racing betting market easily.

Tromador looks a very good fit as he comes from a stable which has good form at the moment. He delivered a third place finish in a field of seven at 6f at the venue earlier this month.

Jockey Jorge Velez has scored a 4-18 record in the last twenty days and boasts the most appeal at 5/2* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 19:11 GMT on Thursday 27th March 2020)..

Satrapa is good enough to make place claims in the fixture. This will be his first run since October last year, so is coming in fresh.

That last trip was a 5f effort at Santa Anita where he was three and a half lengths back of the winner. Satrapa has won at the 5f distance before and can pull into the picture.
