Race Details

This is a 1m Claiming Race from Tampa Bay Downs. It is for Fillies and Mares of at least three years of age.

Race Favourite

There is joint-favouritsim ahead of this one with Facts Don’t Matter and My Masterpiece at the head of the market.

Facts Don’t Matter struggled to deliver form on her last run as she was beaten by 3l, trilaling home seventh of 10 at the venue on a 5f trip last month. She has been successful at 5f and 1m before. Needs a return to form.

My Masterpiece looks to be the pick of the two here after taking second place in a field of 9 on a 1m trip at Tampa Bay Downs earlier in March. That was convincing enough to easily place her in contention for this one. Jockey Daniel Centeno has scored twice in the last two weeks as well.

Claims

BettyB is trading well and she is coming down in grade so that will be a big positive for her. She had claimed back to back wins and has been a winner at 1m on good ground. But her last trip at Tampa Bay Downs last month didn’t deliver a lot of positives but has to be respected in the company.

Unabridged was a joint-favourite on her last run at Tampa Bay Downs. That was for a 1m contest earlier this month. She finished fifth of nine in that run, so will need to come up with better. She has been successful twice at 1m in good conditions before however.

Puro Blanco is worth a little consideration for the race as well. She scored a win at the venue on a 1m trip earlier this month. That was the last outing that she had as well, winning by a length.

This looks to be a fairly wide-open field and she’s not without claims at 12/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020)

E/W Pick

J’s Twostep Beauty goes as our each-way pick. The four-year-old does have a lot on her place in this one, but after posting a second-place finish at the venue on a 1m trip earlier this month, could pull herself into the money on a return. J’s Twostep Beauty is out as a 25/1 pick* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020).

Tip

Those at the head of the field are worth opposing in this one. It’s not the highest quality on offer in this one and that is why we feel there’s value elsewhere. We are going out there to Puro Blanco who put in a progressive run last time out and could deliver.

Race Details

Nice and simple, this is a straight Claiming Race for three-year-olds and above, on a 1m trip.

Race Favourite

Drillomatic is the frontrunner in the market to the tune of 11/8* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020). He will be stepping out for the first time for his new stable and brings some good credentials to the table. He has taken a second-place finish on each of his last three trips and is a previous winner at 1m.

Claims

Mighty Ghost has won at 7f on the all-weather before. On his last run, he was a beaten favourite from 16/10 which was at Tampa Bay Downs. That was on a 6f trip and he was third of eight on the day. He is up there near the head of the market, and looks solid enough at the moment to at least get in the frame.

Taos has been a 1m winner on the all-weather. He was a long way back in fourth of eight from 8/1 at the venue over a 6f trip last month. He was eleven lengths back of the winner on that one. Trainer Eoin Harty is in a bit of form with a 2-4 return in the last fourteen days, however.

Next, we are going to consider 8/1 shot Luis Two Guns* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020). He was third of seven from a long 20/1 price on his last run. That was a 1m trip at the venue in early March. It was a very respectable run and has every chance of improving.

E/W Pick

Devil’s Rule goes as the each-way pick for the race at 16/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020). This will be his first run since December at Hawthrone on a 6f trip. He finished in the middle of the field in that one, but could make a return with a bit of a spark.

Tip

Drillomatic is the one to beat and there is no-one in the field who we can see who is likely to bring him down. He has gone close in each of his last three runs and can step it up to score in this kind of company.

Race Details

This is a six and a half furlong trip for the competitors. It is an Allowance Optional Claiming Race for four-year-olds and above. This is action from the dirt on the Main Track.

Race Favourite

The front runner is Hey Jabber Jaw who is at 3/1* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020). He was fifth of eight on his last run which was at Penn National on a 6f trip last month. He has since switched stables and jockey Jose C Ferrer has scored once in his last four runs.

Claims

Legacy Azteca is another who will be having a run for a new stable on Saturday. He comes back into action with winning form. He scored as the 9/4 FAV at Tampa Bay Downs at 6f just last month.

That was a convincing win by 4l as well. So he is bringing some good form here at 4/1 and brings some claims* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020).

Forward Motion had a little bit of a misfire on his last trip. He has been the joint-favourite for a 6f contest at Tampa Bay Downs back in January.

Forward Motion was fifth of sixth in the contest but he looks to be a much better runner than that. He had won his two trips before that run, so may not take much to return to form.

Mr Lightning Boy will need to find more based on previous efforts. He did score a 13/2 win at Tampa Bay Downs on his last outing.

That was earlier this month when he got the better of Total Distraction by half a length. It was something to definitely build on, regardless.

E/W Pick

Fast Master at 12/1 looks a fantastic pick* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020). He is actually coming into the race with some big credentials.

He was last on his most recent outing which was at Laurel Park in February. It was an extremely poor run, but he had struck a win just before that at 6f, so the Laurel Park wrongness could be forgiven.

Tip

The value for us in that is an even-looking contest is Legacy Azcetca. He produced the win as the favourite last time out. It was a convincing win as well and looks consistent enough to deliver a blow in this one. The potential is there to strike for his new stable.

Race Details

This is a 1m 1½f trip in what is a Starter Handicap. The race is open to four-year-olds and above on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs.

Race Favourite

Hope Again is the market leader at a 2/1 quote* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020). Jockey Samy Camacho is in good form with a 26% strike rate in the last fourteen days.

Hope Again took a win over Bourbon Extension by a short head in the contestant after starting as the 9/5 FAV. He has won seven times in 7f to 1m 1f contests before and brings good credentials to proceedings with three wins in his last five runs.

Claims

Onarock is likely going to be in the picture in this one and has won three times from 5f to 1m on good ground. He was third on his last trip and was narrowly by half a length back of winner Hope Again. So that is what he needs to reverse as he goes up against him again back at Tampa Bay Downs.

Bourbon Extension was only beaten by a short head on his last trip. That was on a 1m 1f trip at Tampa Bay Downs where he just missed out to Hope Again. So that brings him fully into the picture even though he will need to find just a little bit more.

Dover Cliffs has won four times at 1m on good ground, so brings good claims there. He was fourth of 10 at the venue on the 1m trip (good) back in February. He was the beaten favourite in that race and while he didn’t deliver, it may have sharpened him up and he goes in his first run for new trainer Kelsey Danner.

E/W Pick

Domain is going to warrant some respect in this contest and is our 12/1 each-way pick* (betting odds taken from Bet365 at 20:17 GMT on Friday, 27th March 2020).

He put a poor run in on his last trip finishing right at the back of the field on the venue on his last trip.

Domain was behind Hope Again in that contest. It was a run to forget and having won his previous outing, has a chance at responding and getting back to form.

Tip

The form is with Hope Again who has seen off some of his competitors before and looks likely to do the same again. He has won three of his last five trips and can improve on that even further. He’s the pick of the bunch.
