Israel News and Form

Israel made a losing start to the Nations League suffering a 1-0 loss against Albania. So they are playing catch up from the get-go now. That defeat happened out on the road and so will be looking to make the most of home advantage here. They just don’t have any form going for them at the moment though. They have returned a poor W1 L5 record in their last six games. They have only netted the two goals in that sequence of games as well.

This has the look of a low-scoring game and it is worth considering under 1.5 goals at 7/4 odds* (Betting Odds were taken from October 8th, 2018 at 3:54 p.m.). All but two of their last six have gone that way. Following their loss against Albania, they were then beaten heavily by Northern Ireland. The Scots should have a chance in this one.

Scotland News and Form

Scotland also took a Nation’s League win over Albania and that was a win which they really needed. Alex McLeish, who hasn’t returned a great record since taking charge of the national side again, eased some pressure off himself for a bit. They were on a bit of poor form before that. In their 2-0 win over Albania, Scotland were gifted an opening own goal and then Steven Naismith finished off their opponents. Scotland to win to nil doesn’t look a bad option all things considered at 15/4 odds. That’s a big price in this away game though.

But looking at the match outright there is enough value in Scotland just taking the win in the match outright really. They have given recalls to Scott McKenna, Jack Hendry, Jon McLaughlin & Oli McBurnie for the match. After this competitive affair, they will then take on Portugal in a friendly over the weekend. One notable omission now has been Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths who pulled out of the squad, saying that he needed time to work on his fitness. A win in this game would leave Scotland three points clear at the top of the pile over Albania.

Israel v Scotland Predictions

Scotland to win: We are going to put some stock in Scotland delivering something here. This is a chance which they have to seize and take some initiative in. A win would leave them in a really strong position in the group. Away win.
