The Italians had a comfortable opener in the tournament. They got to stretch their legs a little bit as they racked up 47 points against Namibia. Following this one, the Azzurri will face South Africa then New Zealand in the group in a difficult race for second place. So they are going to have to take points off at least one of those.
Italy has never been past the group stage of a World Cup before, having won exactly two games in each of the last four editions.
