Jamaica v Curacao Betting Tips – 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup, 26th June 01.00am

Jamaica and Curacao go head-to-head in a 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup fixture on Wednesday. There’s still everything to play for in Group C, with three teams still in with a chance of making it through to the knockout stages. The Reggae Boyz and El Salvador lead the way on four points apiece, with Curacao sitting in third on three. Who will come out on top in Los Angeles in this one?

Jamaica News and Form – Reggae Boyz to do the business?

Jamaica have made an unbeaten start to their Gold Cup campaign, winning one and drawing one so far. The Jamaicans kicked off their tournament with a narrow victory over Honduras in a thriller in Kingston. Dever Orgill was the hero for the Reggae Boyz, netting a brace in the 3-2 win.

Then last time out, Jamaica missed the chance to go straight through to the knockouts after drawing 0-0 with El Salvador at the BBVA Stadium in Houston. It was an eventful game with plenty of yellow cards, but Theodore Whitmore’s men did not do enough to win it in Texas.

The Jamaicans have been in pretty decent form of late, winning four of their last seven, losing only two of those along the way. Meanwhile, they have been beaten just three times since September 2017.

Jamaica will fancy their chances of getting the better of Curacao in Los Angeles. If they do so, Whitmore’s troops could be dark horses in this tournament, with the bookies currently pricing them at 20/1 to win the competition.

Key-Facts – Jamaica v Curacao

  • Curacao secured their first ever Gold Cup win last time out

Curacao News and Form – Bicentini’s men to come up short in LA?

At the BBVA Stadium in Texas last time out, Curacao picked up an impressive 1-0 win over Honduras. It was a big upset, with the nation scoring their first ever goal in Gold Cup history along the way. Cardiff City’s Leandro Bacuna netted the only goal of the game. Prior to that, Curacao were beaten 1-0 by El Salvador at Independence Park in Kingston.

After causing a shock against the Hondurans, Remko Bicentini’s boys will be hoping to do the same to Jamaica in their final Group C game. At 4/1, they could be worth having a punt on.

Curacao entered the tournament in terrific shape, winning six of seven before losing to El Salvador. Meanwhile, El Salvador and Antigua & Barbuda are the only nations to have beaten them in almost two years.

Curacao certainly have some capable players, but can they cause another upset by seeing off the 2017 Gold Cup finalists?

Jamaica v Curacao Predictions

Jamaica win: Despite scoring their first ever goal and picking up their maiden Gold Cup win in their last outing, Curacao could find it tough going in LA. The Jamaicans are vastly experienced in this competition, finishing runners-up in both 2015 and 2017, and they should have enough to see off Curacao at the Banc of California Stadium. Back Whitmore’s side to win -1 at 11/5. I also fancy them to win to nil (13/8).
