Juventus collected 2-0 Coppa Italia win at Bologna on the weekend, their first action of 2019 because of the winter break. It means that they have remained undefeated in domestic games this season. They are holding a seven-point lead at the top of Serie A as they drive towards another title, winning 17 of their 19 games this season (D2). Juventus have won the Italian Super Cup seven times in their history.

They were struggling for wins over the last couple of months of 2018. They have only managed to go W1 D4 L2 in their last seven games in all competitions currently. Milan came back from the winter break on the weekend with 2-0 extra time win out at Sampdoria in the Coppa Italia. In last season’s Coppa Italia final they lost 4-0 against Juventus, but their appearance there gives them this shot at the Super Cup. It is going to be a big ask for them to overcome the Old Lady.
