On another cracking day of action from the Goodwood Festival, we dive into the King George Qatar Stakes racing odds.

This is the big one of the day, a Group 2 fixture that is a 5f sprint. There is a suitably good, strong field lining up as well.

The brilliant BATTAASH who has dominated this race in recent years is back for another crack and is the market leader in King George Qatar Stakes racing odds.

But there is likely to be huge pressure put on him by DRAGON SYMBOL in this fantastic fixture.

Battaash 6/4 FAV in King George Qatar Stakes Racing Odds

Will BATTAASH do it again in the King George Qatar Stakes? He has won this for the last four years, so naturally has big claims.

He is a quote of 6/4 to make it five in a row in the race* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

Battaash had surgery over the winter and has had one race under his belt since then. That was on his reappearance 45 days ago at Ascot.

He took a fourth palace finish in the King’s Stand there, not losing his very best, but that was understandable.

Battaash has collected a win on soft ground before, so with a bit of rain around, that shouldn’t trip him up.

It is now all about whether or not that Ascot run has sharpened him back up to his imperious best? If so, Battaash will take some beating.

BATTAASH
6/4

Can Dragon Symbol topple the favourite?

DRAGON SYMBOL is a very exciting one, taking a win in each of his first four starts in his career.

From a quote of 3/1 he warrants plenty of respect for FRIDAY* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

There could easily have been more wins under his belt already. The stewards stripped him of victory in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.

Dragon Symbol then improved further to take a runner up spot in the July Cup at Newmarket. Can the young pretender take Battaash’s crown?

As for conditions, Dragon Symbol handles a bit of cut in the ground well enough and coming back up in trip for this one, has some very strong claims.

Suesa is of interest at Goodwood

Another of the interesting three-year-olds in this contest is SUESA. The filly had her UK debut on her last run.

That was 42 days ago at Royal Ascot in the Commonwealth Cup. She was eighth in that one, not really finding her groove.

But before that, she was undefeated in four runs at Chantilly. Earlier this season she took back to back Group 3 wins there.

So she had it in her, and Suesa has also delivered success in heavier conditions.

There’s plenty of potential in her and Suesa is an appealing 12/1 quote in racing betting* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

Arecibo not to be ruled out

Since a change of yard, we have seen better things from ARECIBO this season. He’s been right in the mix in each of his last three.

There have been two wins for him this season and has been tested out at the top level as well.

Earlier this season he put in a good run to take a runner up spot in the Group 1 King’s Stand at Royal Ascot.

Arecibo was last seen battling it out in the Sprint Stakes at Sandown a month ago. He was, once again, runner up there.

But that’s some solid form under his belt and from a quote of 14/1, there is no reason why he can’t get this* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

What can Glass Slippers do on her return?

It’s the season return for GLASS SLIPPERS, but she is still worth a look despite the long absence.

She is a quote of 12/1 in racing betting at the moment* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

She closed out 2020 with a win in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint at Keeneland, which was after just getting touched off in the Prix de l’Abbaye.

The form on the softer stuff stands up for her as well, so the smart mare piques plenty of interest.

It’s going to be all about how sharp she is, and if she had had a reappearance run already, her chances would look even stronger.

Rest of the runners

ART POWER has produced some good runs this season in the Diamond Jubilee and the July Cup. He’s good on soft stuff and has place claims.

GOOD EFFORT was last in the July Cup at Newmarket last time out on a return to the turf. There’s little in his form to suggest he has this in him.

LIBERTY BEACH won her reappearance at the Temple Stakes. It wasn’t a bad follow up in the King’s Stand either. Place claims are there.

ORNATE looks like it came up a long way short in this one. He was at course and distance on Tuesday and looked out of sorts.

STONE OF DESTINY has been among tough companies in his last two. He was 8th at the King’s Stand and 4th in the Sprint Stakes. He’s not without a chance but needs a little bit more.

ZARGUN doesn’t really rate as a threat. He was no threat at all in a recent course and distance effort on Tuesday.

KEEP BUSY is a smart filly who went very well to score at Ayr on her penultimate run. She was a little off-key in the Sprint Stakes at Sandown a month ago but is no forlorn hope.

UBETTABELIEVEIT has a lot to prove. It’s been a couple of poor runs from him this season and made no impact in the King’s Stand on his latest.

Predictions & Tips for King George Qatar Stakes Racing Racing Odds

What a great fixture? Will BATTAASH do it again?

He can’t be ignored from a quote of 6/4 to take this* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

He wasn’t in top form for his renewal but connections will have been happy enough to have that run under his belt following joint surgery.

DRAGON SYMBOL is very exciting and has to rate as a big threat. He looks to be destined for bigger things and has been unlucky not to have racked up even more victories this season.

He’s a threat at 3/1* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

Our other tip is fully SUESA from 12/1* (odds recorded at 21:34 on July 29th, 2021 at Coral).

She looks very useful given her Chantilly form. It will be interesting to see what she does after falling a little short at Royal Ascot last time out.
