Westover 6/4 FAV in King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes Racing Odds

Heading up the market for King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes odds is WESTOVER at 6/4* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

He is right there on the radar after scoring the Irish Derby in spectacularly easy fashion just last month.

He claimed that victory at the Curragh by a distance of seven lengths.

The score added to a win that he took in the Group 3 Classic Trial at Sandown on his reappearance.

Sandwiched between those two runs was an extremely credible third-place finish in the Derby at Epsom.

Westover is from a winning yard and he has plenty more to bring to the table.

As he goes into this claiming an age allowance, it is likely that he is going to be right there.

The stronger the pace at Ascot on Saturday, the bigger the chance that Westover will have in getting his nose in front.

MISHRIFF
7/2

Emily Upjohn a big player

Making a bold bid in this contest is EMILY UPJOHN who has, besides a misfire at Epsom in the Oaks, been spectacular.

She went to the Oaks with an unbeaten record and on a steep upward curve of form.

The day was a nightmare for her as she stumbled coming out of the stalls, and immediately shipped a ton of ground.

But to her credit, she fought back spectacularly to take the runners-up spot from out wide.

A clean start would therefore have likely seen her maintain that unbeaten record.

The filly is extremely high class and before heading to the Oaks, she completed a hattrick in landing the Musidora.

Emily Upjohn is a current 11/4 quote in King George racing odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

The challenge on Saturday for is taking on the opposite sex, but she is a big player nonetheless.

Mishriff can bounce back after Coral-Eclipse

Luck deserted MISHRIFF on his latest run, which was in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown last month.

Despite that, he claimed a runners-up spot after encountering some serious trouble in the race.

That run was after a break of four months and he can only be better for it.

Mishriff has plenty of previous winning form at the top level. Last summer he was on the mark in the Juddmonte.

That York score was the third Group 1 success for him. He is a top-class horse and can’t be written out of this.

Mishriff is a quote of 7/2 to land the win in King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes Odds* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

Torquato Tasso the best of the rest?

There is a quote of 9/1 in King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes Odds on TORQUATO TASSO for Saturday* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

He arrived at Ascot on the weekend after taking a victory at Hamburg three weeks ago.

That was a Group 2 success. But he has also won a couple of Group 1 fixtures in his home country.

Two of the last ten winners of the King George have been German horses.

The big moment for Tarquato Tasso came last October.

He bolted up out of the blue to take the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.

Based on his form there are credible place claims for him on Saturday, although the conditions may not quite suit him.

O’Brien’s hopes rest on Broome

The leading trainer in the last 20 renewals of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes is Aiden O’Brien with three successes.

Adding to that tally on Saturday looks a little unlikely as he hopes to rest on 20/1 shot BROOME* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

Five weeks ago he scored a course and distance win when he landed the Hardwicke.

That was under some very good bold tactics in which Broome went from the front.

Saturday’s race isn’t going to afford him the same luxury probably against higher-class opposition.

Broome was in last year’s King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes and was heavily beaten.

Pyledriver rank outside at Ascot

In King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes Odds, the rank outsider is PYLEDRIVER who has a new rider.

The first and second choices for him aren’t available.

So it’s PJ McDonald who jumps on the ride for Saturday.

Pyledriver is the 25/1 outsider in King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

He was last seen taking a runner-up finish in the Coronation Cup.

Despite the finishing position, Pyledriver was beaten by more than fourth lengths in that Group 1.

On the form, Pyledriver has a lot to find to mount a serious challenge on Saturday.

Predictions & Tips for King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes Racing Odds

We would have to agree that King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes come down to a three-way scrap.

In what order are the main protagonists likely to get across the line in, is the big question of course.

WESTOVER is hard to pass up in this contest at 6/4 just because of the wide margin by which he took the Irish Derby* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).

It was simply spectacular and he may just have enough to hold off the challenge of the other two.

EMILY UPJOHN is a simply brilliant filly but this is tougher against the boys for her. We would imagine that she’s not going to be far away.

MISHRIFF has a big shout in this one however and a line can be drawn through his Coral-Eclipse effort at Sandown.

Nothing much went right for him in that one and Mishriff has proven form at Group 1 contests, which puts him bang in it.

In terms of racing odds, the latter may just be the way to go at 7/2* (odds recorded at 21:09 GMT on July 22, 2022 at Coral).
