Kosovo vs England Betting Tips – UEFA Euro 2020 Qualifier, 17th November 17.00pm

Gareth Southgate’s England travel to Pristina this weekend for their final UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier. The Three Lions have already won Group A, but they will want all three points at Fadil Vokrri Stadium on Sunday. Kosovo may have come up short in the race for the top two, but Bernard Challandes’ men have been very competitive in Group A. Will England make it seven wins from eight qualifiers with three points in Kosovo’s capital on Sunday?

Kosovo News and Form – Can the Kosovans end on a high?

Kosovo may have missed out on automatic qualification to Euro 2020, but Bernard Challandes’ side have been a credit to themselves in Group A. The Kosovans have won three, drawn two and lost two of seven qualifiers.

Kosovo’s automatic dreams ended when they lost 2-1 in Prague on Thursday night. Challandes’ troops took the lead in Plzen through Sheffield Wednesday’s Atdhe Nuhiu, but late goals from Alex Kral and Ondrej Celustka turned the game around for Czech Republic, who joined England in the finals via the direct route.

Kosovo, who played their first match only nine years ago, have come on leaps and bounds in the last few years, and they have some top players in their squad. The Kosovans gave England a good game at Wembley, and they will be hoping to cause a huge shock in Pristina on Sunday. At the time of writing, the home team are priced at 9/2 to record a surprise win.

Kosovo vs England Head to Head

When these two nations locked horns at Wembley back in September, it was the first ever competitive meeting between the two. In a cracking game in London, England ran out 5-3 winners in the end.

Kosovo took the lead in the first minute, but strikes from Jadon Sancho (2), Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane and an own goal gave the home team 5-1 lead at half time. The Kosovans won the second half 2-0 at Wembley, but the English were worthy winners on the night.

Key-Facts – Kosovo vs England

  • The Three Lions have won six of their seven qualifiers, scoring 33 times along the way
  • Kosovo missed out on the top two, but they could still qualify through the play-off route
  • The English have won five of their last six in all competitions

England News and Form – Another comfortable victory for the Three Lions?

England booked their place in next year’s European Championship tournament with an emphatic 7-0 win over Montenegro on Thursday. The Three Lions ran riot at Wembley Stadium, with the prolific Harry Kane scoring a hat-trick in the nation’s 1000th game. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Marcus Rashford and Tammy Abraham were also on the scoresheet.

Since that shock defeat to Czech Republic in Prague, England have struck back with two huge wins. Before smashing Montenegro on Thursday, the English hit Bulgaria for six at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia. Overall, England have scored a staggering 33 goals in seven qualifiers, shipping six at the other end.

Southgate’s troops have the group all sewn up, but they will be targeting another victory at the weekend. England are the clear favourites in Pristina, and they should be too strong for Kosovo in this one.

Kosovo vs England Predictions

England win: Kosovo have been excellent on home turf in this qualification campaign, beating Czech Republic and Montenegro and drawing with Bulgaria. However, the Three lions have picked up two huge victories on the road, seeing off Monegro 5-1 and Bulgaria 6-0.

The away side will be expecting another big margin of victory on Sunday, so back England to win -2 at 10/3. In the reverse game, England went into the break with an enormous 5-1 lead. I fancy Southgate’s side to be winning at half time and full time in this one, which you can get at the tempting odds of 5/4.
