The new James Bond movie is out and it will bring down the curtain on Daniel Craig’s time as the super spy.
No Time To Die is the final time that Daniel Craig will be seen as 007. With all the hype surrounding the release, that’s had a knock-on effect in betting.
There has been plenty of movement this week in Next James Bond betting action as rumours fly about who will replace Craig.

Lashana Lynch to be the first female lead?
There was some movement in support for Lashana Lynch this week in Next James Bond betting.
She is still around 12/1 at some bookmakers.
But others like Betfair have her in a short as 6/1* (odds recorded at 20:33 GMT on October 2nd, 2021 at Betfair).
Lynch is the shortest-priced female in the market and she stars in No Time To Die, playing a Double 00 agent in the flick.
So that wouldn’t be a big transition to see her slide into the famed 007 role.
Hardy heads the market
The current favourite in the next James Bond betting is Tom Hardy. He has long been the favourite with the bookmakers’.
Hardy is a quote of 7/4 to be handed the role* (odds recorded at 20:33 GMT on October 2nd, 2021 at Betfair).
The Londoner is still at the head of the market, but the odds on Hardy did drift a little bit this week.
He has been as short as odds-on at times in the Specials market. So it’s a more favourable time right now to put support towards the Venom star.
Rege-Jean Page in with a shot?
The starring role as the Duke of Hasting in the Netflix series Bridgerton has propelled Rege-Jean Page into the James Bond mix.
Page is a current quote of 5/2 but has not himself really been heavily involved in talking up his chances* (odds recorded at 20:33 GMT on October 2nd, 2021 at Betfair).
The British actor has left Bridgerton and is next to be seen in a Netflix heist film.
Is James Norton a key contender?
There’s James Norton too, another that has always been in the talk as being the Next James Bond.
The McMafia star has shied away from the idea publicly. He has stated that moving away from indie films would be a tough thing.
Maybe until a massive contract comes along to play 007. Who knows?
But Norton is handily placed at 3/1 in the betting market* (odds recorded at 20:33 GMT on October 2nd, 2021 at Betfair).
Other Names Of Note in James Bond betting
Superman star Henry Cavill is a quote of 8/1 (having shortened a little) to add James Bond to his last of characters* (odds recorded at 20:33 GMT on October 2nd, 2021 at Betfair).
Idris Elba has been an odds-on favourite in the Next James Bond betting market before. He is another that always gets talked about when it comes to the role and he’s an 8/1 poke currently* (odds recorded at 20:33 GMT on October 2nd, 2021 at Betfair).
Other interesting names in the mix include Clive Standen, Michael Fassbender, Tom Hiddleston and Cillian Murphy. Basically, it is a totally wide-open market.
Ever since Craig was announced as Bond five franchise movies ago, bookmakers were taking odds on who would replace him.
No one knows yet when we’ll find out, but the markets have gotten very interesting.
