League One betting for the final weekend of action in the regular season, will feature plenty of excitement.

The top two in the table have been settled, but there are three teams in contention for the one final play off spot.

At the other end of the table, all four relegation spots have been filled, with Rochdale, Northampton, Swindon and Bristol Rovers taking the drop.

The final round of League Two fixtures are being played at noon on Sunday, May 9th 2021.

Who won the League One title?

Hull are getting prompted to the Championship as League One champions. They head into the final weekend of action five points clear at the top.

The Tigers are 21/10 to round off the campaign with a victory* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365)..

Interestingly though they face Charlton who will be fired up for a win to try and reach the play offs

With Hull taking the title with some fantastic end of season form, Peterborough were left to claim runners up spot.

The League One Play Off Race

Blackpool, Sunderland and Lincoln will all definitely be going to the play off semi-finals in League One.

There is only one point separating all three of them, so everyone is playing for positions in the final round of regular-season action.

But with semi-final playoff places booked, will any of them decide to rest players ahead of those big games?

Portsmouth currently are sixth, holding on to that final playoff spot.

But they have the in-form Oxford and then Charlton both only a point behind them, so they can’t afford any slip-up.

Blackpool – 3rd, 77 points

The Seasiders have put together a three-match winning streak and are favourites for third. Blackpool have a winnable-looking home fixture for the weekend.

They are playing host to the already relegated Bristol Rovers who have lost their last four on the spin.

Blackpool are 8/13 odds on in League One football betting for the victory that would secure a third-place finish* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365)..

Sunderland – 4th, 76 points

The Black Cats saw their form at the end of the season fall away and have taken one victory only in their last eight fixtures.

They are going to the play offs, but not with a great deal of confidence behind them by the looks of things.

Sunderland are the 4/7 odds on in football betting to take a home win over Northampton on Saturday* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365).

Lincoln – 5th, 76 points

Lincoln are across the line as well, despite winning only one of their last five league games.

They will finish the regular season with a home game against AFC Wimbledon and the Imps are 10/11 odds on to win that* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365).

Their home form hasn’t been great recently though with just a W1 D1 L3 in their last five such fixtures. AFC Wimbledon are safe from relegation so have nothing at stake.

Portsmouth – 6th, 72 points

Pompey can’t go up in the table on the final weekend, but they can drop out of the play off spots.

So they are under high-pressure at home against Accrington on Sunday.

The home win for them is a quote of 8/15 odds-on and their opponents are in mid-table and with nothing to play for* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365). Can Pompey lock it down?

Oxford – 7th, 71 points

Oxford are the form team in the league at the moment with five wins in their last six games. They have been on fire lately and get the benefit of a home game on the weekend.

Oxford host Burton are 4/6 to get the victory against a team who have nothing to play for* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365).

The U’s have to better Portsmouth’s result and at least match Charlton’s results to sneak into the playoffs.

Bet at Bet365

Charlton – 8th, 71 points

Charlton are 5/4 to beat champions Hull on the weekend* (odds recorded at 19:01 GMT on May 6th, 2021 at Bet365).

Will the fact that they are playing a club in a celebratory mood, boost the chances of the Addicks getting the victory?

Charlton simply have to go for broke as they have to better both Portsmouth’s and Oxford’s results. They have the most to do.

League One Relegation

It is all over for Bristol Rovers, Swindon, Northampton and Rochdale.

A huge missed opportunity for Rochdale and Northampton in the last round of matches (both lost) shut the door on survival for them both. Wigan breathe a sigh of relief at that.
