Leeds United vs Blackburn Rovers Betting Tips – EFL Championship, 9th October 15.00pm

Leeds United will be searching for a fourth consecutive home win when the Whites welcome Blackburn Rovers to Elland Road for an EFL Championship fixture on Saturday. As expected, Marcelo Bielsa’s boys are the odds-on favourites in this one, while you can get Tony Mowbray’s Rovers at 13/2. Will Leeds ease to a home win, or can Blackburn cause an upset in West Yorkshire?

Leeds United vs Blackburn Rovers Live Stats & Betting Odds

Leeds United News and Form – Comfortable home win for Bielsa’s troops?

The Whites sit third in the table at the moment having taken 28 points from 15 games. Ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, Leeds United are just two points behind league leaders West Bromwich Albion.

Leeds have been pretty decent at Elland Road this term, with only Preston North End, Cardiff City, Birmingham City and Derby County picking up more home points up until now. United have won four, drawn two and lost just once on their own patch in league action this season. Since drawing 1-1 with Derby in September, Leeds have won three in a row at home.

Bielsa’s men have gone four matches undefeated, winning two and drawing two. Last weekend, Leeds eased to a 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road, with Tyler Roberts and Jack Harrison getting the goals. They will be looking for something similar on Saturday.

Blackburn Rovers News and Form – Can Rovers avoid a fourth successive away defeat?

Blackburn Rovers sealed their first win in seven last time out. Tony Mowbray’s men were a goal behind with just two minutes left on the clock against Sheffield Wednesday at Ewood Park last Saturday, but late goals from Tosin Adarabioyo and John Buckley secured a stunning turnaround victory.

Prior to that, Blackburn had gone six league games without a win, losing four of those in the process. Since beating Reading 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium back in September, the Blue and Whites have lost their last three on the road, with QPR, Birmingham and Preston all getting the better of them.

A trip to Elland Road is one of the toughest tests in the Championship these days. The bookies are not giving Rovers much hope, with bet365 offering the big price of 13/2 for a Blackburn win.

Leeds United vs Blackburn Rovers Predictions

Leeds United win: Bielsa’s boys have looked very strong at home recently, without setting the world alight. In fact, the Whites’ 2-0 win over QPR last weekend is the only time they have won by more than one goal on home turf this term.

Blackburn stopped their winless run with a fine win over Sheffield Wednesday last week, but I can see Leeds securing a comfortable victory at Elland Road this Saturday. Put some money on United to win -1, which is available at the top price of 6/5.

Leeds have kept clean sheets in each of their four home league victories this season, seeing off Brentford, West Brom and Birmingham by a goal to nil and QPR 2-0. The hosts are priced at 6/1 to win 2-0 again this weekend.
