If you have done all your studying of form or have simply stuck a pin in the race card to pick a selection, if you have full confidence in that the selection will win easily, then you can back it up with enhanced odds.
Sometimes you just get a feeling that a horse is going to go out and dominate and when you do have such a strong runner heading up a field they will likely be at an odds-on price. However, you can tap into some confidence and get enhanced odds on that selection by backing it to win by a certain margin over their nearest challenger.
Create your enhanced price
The Lengthen The Odds feature at BetVictor allows you to create your own enhanced price on your selection by backing your horse to win by at least a certain distance. So if you believe your horse is going to go out and romp to a huge lengths victory then you can select your wager accordingly.
Or perhaps you are probably expecting your selection to be in a tight duel with at least one other contender in the field and you would back them to get over the line first by a narrow margin only.
How it works
You will need to go to the Lengthen The Odds section at the BetVictor website to find which races are being covered by the feature. The feature is currently (at the time of writing) available to all UK Flat Racing and National Hunt Racing.
Distance Markets
There are different distance markets to choose from in the Lengthen Your Odds feature and each of the horses on a racecard carries a price in each of those markets. The bigger the margin that your horse wins by, the bigger the odds.
Sop for example in a race you are backing a selection and you could see it priced up at 7/1 to win the race by 5 lengths or more, or 8/1 on them to win the race by 6 lengths or more. Just select your winning distance for your selection and sit back and wait to see if the margin of victory happens.
Note that you will not get anything back from the bet if your selected horse wins by doesn’t win by at least the margin of victory that you set for the Lengthen Your Odds feature. So if you backed it to win by five lengths or more and it won by a neck, then you get nothing back from the wager.
