Liverpool v Chelsea Betting Preview
This could be the defining moment of Liverpool’s season. A win against the Blues will see them have one hand and four fingers on the league title. Chelsea have fallen out of the title picture and so they will have a bigger eye on their Champions League semi final second leg match next week. Will Liverpool seize their big chance?

Liverpool v Chelsea Betting Tips:
All barring a terrible Liverpool collapse at the end of the season, Chelsea aren’t going to win the league. Three points for the Reds here and they will probably already be starting to celebrate. But they have to worry because a loss could allow Manchester City to still pip them to the post, most likely on goal difference. Brendan Rodgers’s men have won their last eleven league matches on the bounce, a phenomenal run of form, and all of it based on attack. Their unbeaten run stretches back further to sixteen games (W14 D2). Hard to deny that they haven’t been worthy of the title. Just recently as the pressure has been mounting, they’ve showed a lot of fight, winning their last two games 3-2. There was the crucial six pointer against Man City and then a scrappier victory over Norwich last weekend at Carrow Road. As if the Reds didn’t look the stronger of the two sides at the moment anyway, Chelsea are probably going to extremely pre-occupied with the Champions League. It’s all aligning for Liverpool.

The Reds have won two and drawn one of their last three home games against the Blues in the top flight. It was a goal each from Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez which saw them earn a 2-2 draw in last season’s corresponding fixture at Anfield. Those two have been on fire for the Reds of course this season and Suarez is trading at Even Money in the anytime goalscorer, with former Chelsea man Sturridge at 6/4. You can generally expect goals where Liverpool are concerned. Over 2.5 goals is up ta ta price of 4/7 with Bet Victor on this one, and 76% of their home games this season have gone over the mark. Remarkably in twenty of their league games all season, Liverpool have scored three or more goals. Still, with Chelsea likely to park the bus and not show much adventure, punters may be tempted at the 5/4 shot on the game going under. But goals will probably flow, as Liverpool have only kept one clean sheet in their last six. Can Liverpool keep their immense winning streak going, or will Chelsea, who have a habit of not losing big games like this, hold them back?

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho already has his excuse set up, should he lose. He wants to rest players ahead of their second leg against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. It makes sense as they aren’t going to win the Premier League. There were big blows in losing John Terry and Petr Cech for the rest of the season, so a big part of their defence will be missing now. You don’t want to take a weakened back line to Anfield at the moment. The Blues have been shaky on the road, losing two of their last three by a 1-0 scoreline (at Aston Villa and Crystal Palace). While they responded with an away win at Swansea, their shock 2-1 loss at Stamford Bridge last weekend against Sunderland blew their title hopes out of the water. Samuel Eto’o is trading at 2/1 in the anytime goalscorer market for them. Chelsea have kept four clean sheets in their last seven. In each of the three games they have conceded in, they have lost. Hard to see them keeping Liverpool off the scoresheet.

Prediction
Liverpool are probably just too confident, too adventurous and too hungry to throw this one away at the moment. Chelsea won’t be at full strength and would just bank on this one being a home win for the Reds at 4/6.
