Liverpool v Everton FA Cup Betting Tips

At home, Liverpool are red-hot favourites to make their way through this Merseyside derby tie. The Reds have not been beaten at Anfield this season but they have been forced into some frustrating draws as they have gone W9 D6 record on home soil though. They have won their last two home games though and everyone knows about their strong attack, however, they have been defensively rock solid on home soil this season. Liverpool have taken a clean sheet in nine of their fifteen home games across all competitions and they have taken two of them in their last three games there (one goal conceded). Liverpool to win to nil at William Hill because of that wouldn’t be a bad option to consider for the FA Cup clash. The Reds have scored at least three goals in seven home games this season and in nine of them, they have scored at least two goals.

So the Reds can boast plenty of scoring power and their man of the season has been Mo Salah who is the even-money anytime goalscorer favourite at William Hill. He did get Liverpool’s goal in the 1-1 league draw against the Toffees back in December. During that game, the Reds totally dominated the fixture but couldn’t quite get through. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last fifteen games again Everton in all competitions now (W7 D8). From previous FA Cup clashes, Liverpool are 10-7 up with six drawn matches between them in the competition. The last time that there was a Merseyside derby in the FA Cup third round was back in the 2008/09 season with a replay needed after a 1-1 draw at Anfield. Everton won that replay 1-0 to go on to reach the final that season where they lost to Chelsea. Another 1-1 draw in William Hill correct score market returns a price of 15/2 while the shortest priced option available there is a Liverpool 2-0 at a 6/1 quote.

Everton have started to fall out of form again and the bright start to Sam Allardyce’s run has pretty much worn off already. Everton have not taken a win in any of their last four matches played (D2 L2). However, the goals for them have totally dried up though as they have managed just the one goal in their last four games. Under 2.5 goals at William Hill for the fixture is probably not too bad of an option really. Everton’s overall away form this season has been pretty poor in general and they have taken just three away wins all term in a W3 D6 L8 record. However, two of those three away wins have at least come inside of their last five away games while the Toffees have earned a clean sheet in three of their last five away games. Wayne Rooney is going to be relied on heavily to have a big game for them, he is the top scorer for the club this term and goes as a 3/1 anytime goalscorer option. The set up of this being a Merseyside derby is thrilling, however, it is a tough game for Everton.
