Manchester United News and Form – Can the Red Devils beat Leicester?

The Red Devils are looking for a return to winning form. It has been a W1 D2 L1 record that Manchester United have recorded this season in the Premier League. Their only win happened on the opening weekend of the season which leaves them on a three-match winless streak. In their other home game, they suffered a shock defeat against Crystal Palace. That loss against the Eagles was sandwiched between 1-1 away draws at Wolves and Southampton.

Manchester United have struck the opening goal in all but one of their four games this campaign. They have been leading at half time in three of their four as well. Daniel James has scored United’s last two goals (two-match scoring streak) and was on target for Wales in the recent international break so has some form. United don’t look great in the midfield area and with no clean sheet in three, the support for their defence hasn’t been there. Four of their five home goals scored this season have been in the second half.

Leicester News and Form – Can the Foxes remain undefeated?

Leicester are unbeaten in the Premier League going back into action. They are just one of three teams (Man City and Liverpool) who have yet to taste the Premier League defeat in this campaign. It is a third-place start that the Foxes go from, having taken a W2 D2 record from their four games. They have won their last two back to back over Sheffield United and Bournemouth. They will get tougher games to come of course, and this is likely to be one of them. But regardless of the situation in front of them on Saturday, Brendand Rodgers’ team looks confident and sharp.

Jamie Vardy has found his goal-scoring form early with three goals in his last two games. He has netted the first goal in Leicester’s last two games. In last season’s top-flight campaign, Leicester took just one away win against the top six finishers in a W1 D1 L4 record in such games. So there is plenty of room for improvement there. They have already faced Chelsea away from home this season, playing out a 1-1 draw, but Leicester had more than enough of the game in the second half to have won it. They should be competitive and can cause the Red Devils some problems in this one.

Manchester United v Leicester Predictions

Draw: Leicester have made a confident start to the new league season and they will be more than happy to get out of this with a draw. That would maintain their unbeaten run and keep United beneath them in the table. That has to be a good objective. They should be good enough to get it too. Draw.
