Manchester United News and Form

What next for the Red Devils who look to be in a bit of a mess? That is a three-match winless streak that they are on across all competitions. It has been a rough week for them, with a draw against the newly promoted Wolves and a loss against West Ham in the Premier League. Sandwiching those results was an EFL Cup defeat against Championship side Derby. Not much is going right on or off the field for the Red Devils and United have only claimed one clean sheet in their last five games. Last season Manchester United’s Champions League campaign came undone against a Spanish side, Sevilla.

The Red Devils picked up a 3-0 win at Champions League debutants Young Boys on match day one, but they had their scares in that match at the back. Given the history between Manchester United and Vaelncia, then you are probably going to want to follow the trend of low scoring, tight games. In the bet365 correct to score market a 1-1 draw is trading at 13/2 odds. Given what has happened to them this season, they can’t take any game lightly at the moment. Romelu Lukaku, who is on a five-match scoreless streak (all competitions) is the first goalscorer favourite.

Valencia News and Form

There has not been great momentum for Valencia this season yet. They collected a league win over Sociedad over the weekend and that was their first success of the term in any competitions. Only one of their games this season have reached three goals (all competitions) so it is hard to expect this one to be a high-scoring affair. Valencia posted a 2-0 loss out at Juventus in their opening Champions League game this season. So far this season on their travels, Valencia are W1 D2 L1.

Valencia haven’t done all that bad at the back actually as they have collected a clean sheet in three of the last five games. They have earned two in their last three games, so overall they have been hard to break down. But going forward they are lacking a touch of scoring power and that is hampering them. They have failed to score in three of their last five as well, with just the two goals recorded in that sequence. For Manchester United v Valencia predictions there is the option of both teams not to score at 19/20 odds* (betting odds taken on September 30th, 2018 at 6:46 pm) if you wanted to run with that.

Manchester United v Valencia Head to Head

Manchester United v Valencia Predictions

We don’t see either quite having enough in them to go and pick up a win in this one. Manchester United are just not looking confident and Valencia are not doing enough to win games because of a lack of scoring power.
