Hong Kong

Hong Kong landed an impressive maiden win at Naas in late October last year. He was out the following month and could only land a 7th place finish at Newmarket over a 7f trip.

He tried to take things on from the front in the Group 3 contest but he was never carrying the form. It may have come too quick for him following his Naas success.

Will he deliver back at the venue of his last win? He is 11/4 to do so* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

Lustown Baba

There has been some superb form produced by three-year-old Lustown Baba, who is a course and distance winner. That 7f score at Naas happened in late October and is one of two wins that she has taken in his last three runs.

Lustown Baba is a rapidly improving youngster and has every chance of taking on the favourite in this race.

She likes to make the running and brings strong each-way claims to proceedings for a 4/1 quote* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

Justina

The Jessica Harrington-trained Justina won a 7f maiden at Roscommon on her debut in July last year. She continued that form with trips at Killarney and Galway, but couldn’t add another score.

She has now been off the track since August, which will just cast a little doubt on her. It would have been nice to gauge on this one off a previous run, but punters will be backing her relatively blindly.

But regardless, her form last summer showed huge potential. She returns as 7/1 contender* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

The King Of Kells

The King Of Kells is one of the more experienced three year olds in the field and that is because he has been working hard. There has been a lot of success there for him too.

He has scored in two fo his last three runs and makes an appearance at 8/1 odds* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

The one question mark about The King Of Kells will be over his distance as he has taken on the 7f trip once and failed badly in an effort last October at Gowran.

Camachita

Camachita showed a bit of promise in delivering a win at Dundalk over the 7f distance in October last year. She was last out in a Group 3 effort at Leopardstown in October and took fourth of five, but it wasn’t a bad run at all from her.

There could easily be more to come from her as she looks to kick on in her return as an 8/1 option* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

Elusive King

There was a win by Elusive King on his last trip, which was at Naas over a 6f trip in November last year. He handled himself well in a big maiden field of 22 as well.

Elusive King looks like a gutsy horse after getting that win by a nose and the step up to 7f may be right in his wheelhouse.

He comes in as a 9/1 option for Naas on Monday* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

Worthy Mentions

FAN CLUB RULES was an expensive horse having come over from France. He is completely unexposed at the 7f distance however, so would bring nothing more than outsider place claims to the table.

Previous course and distance winner IN FROM THE COLD makes an appearance. That C&D score happened in November last year. He is far more exposed than the bulk of the runners in his contest and would bring place claims.

There could be placed claims coming from WILD CHERRY who was fourth in a 6f trip at Naas in October last year. That’s two decent runs that have been produced by her at Naas. Potential for improvement is there as well.

BELLA BRAZIL hit some peak form with a win at Kempton in late November before following up with a competitive runners-up place at Newcastle a couple of weeks later. She was then tried at 1m at Dundalk which didn’t work out. She may be happier back down at 7f.

Predictions & Tips

There are a fair amount of claims coming in for this one. The experience of Group races that CAMACHITA and HONG KONG both bring to proceedings gives them a bit of a spotlight.

But is the progressive ELUSIVE KING that ticks the boxes for us in this one. He looks a big-game player and can take on the field in this one, especially after having gone well in muddy conditions at Naas.

LUSTOWN BABA has delivered a course and distance win and the impressive youngster will make some bold claims from the front and if she gets it right, she may be hard to reel in.
