Naas Monday 16:30: Boylesports offer 6/4 racing odds on Even So – 23rd March 2020

Blissful good enough to get the better of Even So again

Horse Racing Betting

There’s top action here from Naas in the 16:30 which is a Class 1 (Fillies Group 3) contest at the venue. There are 9 entered for the race which is a 1m trip.

With a good win under her belt on her last trip, it is Even So who has shifted to the head of the market, but there are plenty of big claims behind her for this top contest.

Naas Monday 16:30 Race Odds*

Blissful 7/2
Kiss For A Jewel 6/1
Hamariyna 6/1

Even So

There has been some good early-career form from Even So, who nailed a distance win on his last effort. She took the 1m score at Gowran last September, in what was her second trip.

Even So fully justified her position as favourite in that race, and she is back in the same boat for this one. She was a third place finisher behind winner Blissful at Tipperary on her debut in August 2019.

Even So lines up at 6/4 for this contest* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020)

Blissful

Blissful is a good hardy filly and claimed back to back wins at Tipperary (beating Even So) and then at Leopardstown in August and September last year.

Her last trip was in late September where she came up short in a higher graded contest. Should bring massive claims to the table against coming back down the grade a little bit to take on this field.

She looks a very strong competitor at 7/2* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

Kiss For A Jewel

Kiss For a Jewel has largely been tested, and some of that successfully above the 1m trip. She took a 1m 1f score at Tipperary and then a 1m 2f success at Fairyhouse earlier this season.

She came up short on a run at Naas over 1m 3f in October and has been rested since. It’s tough to know if this shorter trip will be too quick for her.

But she did take a second in a 1m Naas Fillies Maiden in May last year. She’s not been badly respected at 6/1* (betting odds taken from Boylesports at 22:35 GMT on Sunday 22nd March 2020).

Hamariyna

Four-year-old Hamariyna has taken a slightly different route to her career than most of the other runners. She wasn’t raced as a two year old. Wins at Tipperary and Lowdown last Spring did show a lot of promise.

She has a 3lb penalty to deal with but has distance claims and will be looking to shake off a poor effort at the venue on her last run which was in June 2019 over 1m 2f.

Ravens Cry

Back to back wins last autumn put Ravens Cry into a good progressive state of being. But then her bubble burst with a poor 7th at Leopardstown in September as a beaten favourite.

There should be a lot more to her than that effort and it is way too early for her to be written off because of that Leopwardsotwn effort, even though it was a race won by Blissful.

Lemista

Lemista carded a win at 1m at Gowran Park in October. The stablemate to Even So will bring some nice outsider claims to the table because of that.

It was a no-nonsense win that she looked last out in what was just her third run. There’s room for improvement and will be an interesting one to watch.

Rest Of The Runners

Six year old ANNIE FIOR is the oldest horse in the fixture. Her last run was at Dundalk and she couldn’t find any form to get herself in the picture, ending up fighting for form in a 1m trip. Little to suggest that she’ll be in the frame.

CERRO BAYO is unexposed, having had nothing more than a winning debut made at Roscommon in August last year in form. Comes from top connections, but the four year old is an unknown quantity.

This will be the first trip for MISS MYERS since a 7f effort at Naas in October last year where she was sixth. That came straight after a win at Limerick in the same month. She is facing much higher quality in this one than she has done before.

Predictions & Tips

BLISSFUL has had the beating of Even So this season and she held on well in that Tipperary success in August. She could fit well for the step up in trip and is hard to ignore for the win.

EVEN SO is being based on that impressive score at Gowran. There are stacks of potential there with her but she is facing a supremely tough competitor in Blissful and we expect the latter to come out on top again.

As for some outside appeal, RAVENS CRY can make place claims. She looked good enough before that Leopardstown trip to pull herself into the money places.
